Woman who tried to confuse officials with her twin pleads guilty after two Amish children killed

A woman who attempted to elude authorities by pinning her actions on her twin sister has pleaded guilty to multiple charges after two Amish children were killed in 2023.

Samantha Petersen pleaded guilty on Friday to both criminal vehicular homicide and criminal vehicular operation.

Prosecutors say Samantha Peterson was allegedly under the influence of illicit drugs while she was behind the wheel of an SUV when she collided with an Amish buggy on Sept. 25. Investigators said the SUV came up from behind and struck the horse-drawn buggy carrying four siblings to school. Two of those children, 7-year-old Wilma Miller and her 11-year-old sister, Irma Miller, died on the scene. Their 1-year-old brother and 13-year-old sister were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

IMO
What a strange and twisted case. Swapping clothes & places. One twin takes the fall for the defendant. Finally the truth comes out.

Why would the other twin agree to destroy her own life to save her sister?
