:banghead: Why would they keep the jacket instead of leaving it on the body, or disposing of it with the body??? Makes no sense! But then, neither does murder... :banghead:

Are the women who were involved with Nelson totally clueless?

South St. Paul, huh? Lake Pickerel is in Lilydale Park, St. Paul. He could have driven Lilydale Rd through the park to drop off a body, then taken Concord to South St. Paul. She might not necessarily be in the lake - lots of places to drop a body around there. Are there current searches there?

Lots of conflicting reporting from the beginning in this case. I believe it was previously reported that nelson and comrade returned to her home after the shooting and stayed there until nelson left and was chased and captured and she arrested at the home. So how did jacket get to ex wife's place? Le has to get comrade to talk if she hasn't already.

Wow. This case gets stranger by the minute. Anarae's brother, according to the StarTribune, says Chavez-Nelson's ex wife has been arrested along with two others but doesn't know their connection to the case. I'm going to need a scorecard. Let's see there's ex girlfriend Anarae, current girlfriend Conrade, Ex girlfiend he had a child with and now an ex wife. Also Anarae was seen at the ex wife's @ 7 pm the night she went to the bar with Chavez-Nelson and Conrade. STAY TUNED

We need a timeline! Her Dad dropped her off at the coffee shop across the street from the bar/grill, earlier in the day.

At 7PM 'someone' but we don't know who, says she was at the ex-wife's apt, where later her jacket with the holes, and a knife on the roof were found.

At 9 something PM video she was at the bar/grill. Does video show WHEN she arrived and WHEN she left???

Murder occurred somewhere around 2 AM

Murderer and his gf state Anarae was in the gf's car, and left with them after the murder. Murderer and his gf state Anarae went with them back to the gf's apt.

How long after the murder and their arrest? Wasn't it Sunday morning the murder, and Tuesday the arrest?

Anyone see them leave the apt or arrive at the apt anytime from the day of the murder to their arrests?

Do we know for positive she was at the gf's home?

What area was the GF's apt, and what area was the ex wife's apt? And WHY was any of them at the ex wife's???

I'm too confused!!

Tyson Schunk said police found his sister’s white jacket with a U logo at the apartment of Chavez-Nelson’s ex-wife in St. Paul. Police told the family that a knife connected with the case was found on the roof of the apartment building.
Tyson Schunk said his sister was seen in the area of the apartment about 7 p.m. Sept. 21. Family members said DNA results haven’t come back yet on the blood on the jacket or whether any evidence was found on the knife.

Schunk was seen on video surveillance going into Nina’s Grill with Chavez-Nelson. The criminal complaints filed in Dakota County District Court said Conrade told police that she, Chavez-Nelson and Schunk went back to her home after the shooting about 2 a.m. Sept. 22. There is no other information about where Schunk went from there.
Chavez-Nelson has a lengthy criminal record and most recently served time for first-degree aggravated robbery before being released in December 2011. He was charged in June with first-degree burglary for allegedly robbing a Richfield family with a gun. He was released from the Hennepin County jail after posting $25,000 bond on Sept. 19.

I bet that the $5000 Anarae lent him was bail money to get him out of jail for one of his prior convictions. This whole case is confusing to me. Hard to follow the timeline and MSM all reporting different timelines

Why would the ex-wife keep AS's jacket? Strange, to say the least. One would think the ex-wife, who's now been arrested and must have something to do with the case, would have gotten rid of the jacket.

I tried but cannot put together why the jacket was left at the ex's apartment. If the knife was found on the roof of the ex's apartment, AS must have been murdered there. But...

My guess is because it was reported on all of the media stories with a picture thus making the body harder to identify?

Police interviewed a waitress from Nina's who said Shavelle, known to her as "Cali" called her @ 2:30 am the morning of the shooting to find out what was happening at the parking lot. Apparently he felt safe with her as he had her cell phone # & wasn't concerned about her ratting him out. Shavelle acquired more woman friends since he got out of prison than I've had in my lifetime and I'm 71. There's been no mention of him working. Heck, he didn't have the time.

In an interview with police Conrade said she didn't see the shooting. Let me get this right. She leaves the bar with Shavelle and Anarae. The shooting victim hits on her and Shavelle gets mad. Shavelle and the victim got into a tussle that led to Shavelle firing who knows how many shots, at least 8 of which hit the victim. She jumps in the car with Shavelle and Anarae and flees and she didn't see the shooting? What happened? Did she temporarily leave the planet or go blind?

Maybe to delay identifying body when it's found? I don't know, but it's the only thing I can think of!
