I've just had a look around the Yankee Doodle Road to Hwy 13 and beyond to the ponds area.l on Google StreetView.

My first thoughts are how wide, big and spread out everything is, no buildings or trees to block any view. If anyone nefarious just happened to be lurking in a car park, they'd see him coming from a long way away.

My next thought is why didn't he use his remaining battery to use Google Maps and navigate back to his home? (Instead of facetiming his friends.) I'm wondering about the possibility he may have taken something (like cannabis?) that was making him confused and losing his train of thought.

There is also the Yankee Tavern Bar on the corner, and I'm wondering if there was someone lurking after hours who followed him, seeing that he was alone?

It's also possible he made it back to Hwy 13 and was given a ride by someone with bad intentions too.

My last thought is why didn't the ride share drop him off closer to his home? 2 miles is still quite a way to walk when you're drunk. Plus, it's 2am!! I don't understand why if he was getting a ride HOME why it wasn't to his HOME!

I would need a group of people with me:)

To go there at night, I'd need a group of people with me too ... armed soldiers!

Assuming they can still dive the ponds in the cold weather coming?

He and 2 friends got a ride to the friends house. Maybe he first planned to hang out there, but for some reason decided to walk home instead. Guessing he probably had walked home from there before.

I see. Thank you for that

If was drunk, yet he felt fine enough to walk, I still can't see how he ended up going so catastrophically off course.

He couldn't have been THAT drunk as he was capable of walking!

I still think he may have taken something that was making him confused..... I wonder if that's why we haven't heard too much from his friends and the last phonecall? Perhaps they fear consequences. Is cannabis legal in MN? He could've maybe taken something else?

MOO.

Sorry to jump in late, but have they done drone searches? I didn't see it mentioned, but I could have missed it.

Yes. Mainly drones. The helicopters were interfering with Minnesota Airport a bit apparently.

My thoughts also…that he didn’t seem that drunk to me to walk all over.
I am not the cannabis expert, but thought it relaxes you. Not legal in MN, but edibles were just legalized this summer. I hear college and high school kids can get it all with no problems though.

It would seem he would want to sit, lie down rather than walk, and I'm guessing his walk was a stagger.

I’m guessing he didn’t pay for the ride, his friend did, he just rode along and shared it. Have done so many times myself. In my experience rideshares only drop off at the location the user selects on the app, it’s not really like a cab where you can ask the driver to do multiple drop offs. JMO

That brings up another question for me. Did he drive to the friends house, walk there from his apt, or get a ride there before they went to the party bus? Did they all rideshare to the party bus pickup spot? Seems they were all being so careful and responsible not to drink and drive anywhere, and rather take a rideshare and/or walk. Then something so terrible like this happens.

Just an FYI, there has not been an update, post or reply from the Eagan PD on their FB site for over a week now. Doesn’t seem right for a missing person, particularly when so many people from the community are still out there searching…and to have no guidance.

no update from family since like day 3 of search, and no media update since nov 8. not much chatter on social media that i’ve seen. it’s like it never happened

I was also wondering if he took something (ecstasy? cocaine?) that made him disoriented, but he was in good enough shape to want to walk home, know he had gotten lost, call his friends, and get his location sent to them. Halloween weekend would be a time people might party and do harder stuff than normal. We have had a particularly strong batch of fentanyl in MN recently, but no news reports have mentioned any drugs are suspected, and Bryce isn’t known to do drugs AFAIK.

Feels like every possibility can be disproven at this point?

If he did follow the tracks, I hope he went north instead of south. It’s by the trails and the road and I feel it’s more likely he’ll be found if he went that way. JMO

Did he call his friends instead of trying to look up a map because he was afraid?

jmo. i might call someone if I felt scared, or if i tried and failed using a map

I would have called the friends, knowing they were a few blocks away. I am thinking once he got west of 13 in the industrial area, he knew he was lost, and quicker to call his friends than try to figure out a map. I still wonder what they talked about for 12 minutes.

Yes. Divers CAN still dive, but I'm guessing they won't be doing this unless it's a private effort. We have snow and freezing temps, and LE has other cases and limited resources. Bottom line is LE searches aren't forever. The family needs to consider other sources.

On another line of thinking, no statement from family. No police statements. And, no searchers needed. This is bizarre. Most missing persons cases have daily updates.

Just another comment. 2 - 3 feet of snow soon. Dangerous to walk around the holding ponds. Unless he's found soon, I think we're looking at spring.

Well, it's possible. But if he was that afraid, why not call 911..?
