Absolutely nothing new. Mystified LE has not spoken.
If he went into the river, it will be exceedingly difficult to locate his remains.

I live nearby — I seriously doubt he got all the way to the river on foot that night and no evidence shows he did.

I didn't realize there was definitive evidence of where he had not been.

Of course there isn’t. Just giving my two cents as someone who knows the area. We get back in the car and drive when we want to go from the area is is known to have been to the river.

We have a new police chief in Eagan. Plenty goes on here every day for a typical suburb, so I doubt this case is a day-to-day topic at the station. Plenty of people to protect and serve. Still, new leadership can be a reset if people show they want a case solved. I’ll hope for that and see if I can be one of the voices. Welcoming New Eagan Police Chief Salim Omari

Forum should not have the word "river" attached. He disappeared a mile from the river. He would have had to negotiate swamps to get there. River has been dredged. Twice flooded. It is not deep or wide through the park. I have dumped a canoe there and can attest to it not being deep.

This is a bit off topic but about the Eagan police. Recently happened. Man was a night postal worker, not in uniform. Had a severe headache, vision problems. Left work early. Driving. On the way home he had a stroke, hit the median. Two Eagan police officers came, and when he could not talk, they assumed he was on drugs. They called Eagan LE drug specialist, who was supposed to do a 12 point assessment; he only did 3. Victim was jailed. Died in jail. BIG LAWSUIT vs Eagan police. After this incident, I am skeptical Eagan LE will solve the Bryce Borca case.

So disheartening and criminal — new chief has his work cut out for him. Also OT: We used to have the most wonderful Eagan cop come to our National Night Out, along with the community liaison they hire. I think they are still around and I know we have great public servants in the force. The fact that they have community liaisons means something. But the last two years I did not get good vibes from the ones that showed up.

I think in part because morale in this state is at an all-time low. For several reasons. And I really question if things will improve.

Minnesotan here. I'm suburban south of the TCs. Focus has shifted from criminal cases to ICE invasions.

I live nearby. It is at least a mile to the river, and having dumped a canoe there, I can tell you it's not deep. Then, too, to get to the river, a person would need to navigate swampy ground, overgrown ground, cross RR tracks. There's just no way. One other aspect is lights were in the opposite direction of the river. This entire thread should be renamed with no mention of a river.

Not really. Shallow water. Not wide. Boats navigate this part of the river. Two floods since then have revealed nothing.

He is probably much farther down the river than they have been searching. Plus decomposition at this time likely disarticulated his skeleton.

<Modsnip: Quoted post removed>

I am only a local, very familiar with area. Soon you will be able to walk/bicycle almost exactly where he disappeared - completion expected summer 2026. So, when the paved trail opens, just walk the area.

I don't know BB's thought process, only the weather, only the lights, only the traffic, only the area, only the thoughts of others. I have canoed the Minnesota River there, have walked/bicycled the trails on both sides of the river for years.

What I know for certain is Eagan LE are not looking at the river. The Minnesota River is an urban river. Barges and pleasure boats use it; paved trails on both sides. It flows into the Mississippi, which also is boat traffic and trails on both sides of the river. Both rivers are very open and well-used. Searches have been centered on land and near the holding pond at Essendant. Doubtful there will be more searches.
