This makes things so much worse. Not just mistaking the real gun for the flare one but after watching things over and over I still see no need for the Flare gun in the first place.I wonder if she had any trouble on the job in the past?

What I intended doing but didnt get the time was to search department policy on firing a taser into a vehicle with one or more passengers including the target?
I think I read something sometime but could have been another state..
I'm also trying t establish medical condition of his passenger, the girl.
She must be in a very bad way mentally if not physically..

Daunte Wright was stopped for expired plates, but driving while Black may have been his 'crime'

"He was pulled over for having an expired registration on the vehicle," Brooklyn Center Police Chief Tim Gannon said Monday. "When the officer went over, an item hanging from the rearview mirror was spotted."

It was after that, Gannon said, that the officers discovered that a "gross misdemeanor warrant" for Wright's arrest had been issued.

Minutes later, a gunshot rang out, and Wright joined the ranks of other Black motorists who have died after having been pulled over by police, a group that includes Philando Castile, 32, who was fatally shot in 2016 by a Minneapolis police officer after he was stopped for a broken taillight. His final moments were recorded in a powerful video.

I don't understand this article. He was pulled over for expired plates. Then they saw the air freshener, which really had no bearing on the stop. After stopped, the discovered he had a warrant. Were the supposed to just let him go?

Do all of the Brooklyn Center LEOs wear their taser amd gun I'm the same location on their belt? Do we know what those locations are?

A 26 year veteran officer—wow. How could she have made such a grievous error in judgment?’
She's human?
It was a hot mess as he jumped back into his vehicle in effort to resist arrest?
Neither are excuses, but the heat of the moment cannot be ignored.

The Chief explained earlier. Like most departments, they wear their firearm on the dominant hand side, and the taser on the non-dominant side.

Opposite sides. It's hard to have confidence in police when they confuse one from the other. Wouldn't a taser weigh less, too?

Well she could have not shot him dead.
