MN - Dentist Kills a Tame Lion- Catches Heat, July 2015

  • #101
And it's not just one lion. Apparently another male lion will now kill Cecil's cubs. Lions are already endangered.

BBM for focus

Will they (the government, the naturalists, whoever they are) let this happen? Why can't they remove the cubs to a safe place? Raise them somewhere else and then rehabilitate them into the wild?

If not, why not? Anyone know?

(Not directed at you, jjenny, just jumping off your post.)

What an absolute moron. Africa holds a special part in my heart. My husband was telling me last night, I actually had to physically remove myself and go into another room to get away from the conversation. A 3rd world African jail is probably not going to look to bad after the damage the public will do to his business.

I don't think they want to interfere into the natural way of things.

Thanks. I understand that to a point, but this is an endangered species we're talking about. So I don't really get that.

Again just discussing, not arguing with you.

If it was a zoo, they could have done that. But out in the wild, it's survival of the fittest. I don't think they want to interfere into the natural way of things. They are studying the situation to see what happens.

If the cubs are indeed killed, the public firestorm against Palmer may become nuclear!

Frak you Walter James Palmer.

I am going to listen to Perpetuum Jazzile's "Africa" to calm me down.

This has probably already been said, but the Dr. is probably hunting down the lion in Milwaukee. Anything for a thrill! Suggestion to the doc: Doctors Without Borders. Do something for others bud.

What a piece of work this guy is.

Hmmmmm....no one has seen the Milwaukee lion in a few days....I wonder...........

ETA: Maybe the Milwaukee lion decided to hunt Dr. Palmer and now the Milwaukee lion is too busy digesting to run around town.

I'm not sure what you are talking about. Hunting down the lion in Milwaukee?

The White House said on Thursday it would review a public petition of more than 100,000 signatures to have him extradited.

Nancy Grace voice: BOMBSHELL!

Just MOO this is going to cause such a political mess.
Not that I'm really worried about it, MOO they should put him in a plane to Zimbabwe ASAP.

Minnesota local paper StarTribune regarding extradition:

http://www.startribune.com/u-s-now-...is-looking-for-twin-cities-dentist/320076361/

"Palmer had been listed in a record book compiled by Safari Club International, an organization for big-game hunters. The club’s record book listed 43 kills by Palmer, all by bow and arrow, including moose, buffalo, a polar bear and a mountain lion. The club said this week that it was suspending the memberships of Palmer and his Zimbabwe-based guide."

I sure hope he gets back to Zimbabwe.

And the big brave big-game hunter is revealed as the coward he is.

If he'd ever faced one of those animals he killed without his gun in hand, I bet his pants would have soon needed laundering.

A polar bear. The man killed a freaking POLAR BEAR.

smh
