I'd vote for this guy to be left in the middle of the wilderness of Zimbabwe all naked without anything like in those survival shows.

Minnesota local paper StarTribune regarding extradition:

http://www.startribune.com/u-s-now-...is-looking-for-twin-cities-dentist/320076361/

"Palmer had been listed in a record book compiled by Safari Club International, an organization for big-game hunters. The club’s record book listed 43 kills by Palmer, all by bow and arrow, including moose, buffalo, a polar bear and a mountain lion. The club said this week that it was suspending the memberships of Palmer and his Zimbabwe-based guide."

I sure hope he gets back to Zimbabwe.

What a tough guy! Now move up to one on one hand combat with these animals , tough guy.

Don't you have those bounty hunters in America? Sounds like the ideal job for one of them!

He's just making this worse for himself by hiding out. It just fuels the flames that are already there by being such a coward. If he really thought he had done nothing wrong, he would be out front and center and defend himself. I have a feeling he's consulted with an attorney and found out its possible he may be extradited to Zimbabwe. I have a feeling the next photo of him that we see won't have that big grin smeared across his face. Someone knows where he is. Time for them to do the right thing because he's going to stay hidden and hope this goes away. JMO

International Fund for Animal Welfare article. Not dated but the comments are mostly from 2014. My understanding from this article is that if the Lion is not on OUR (U.S.) endangered animal list, then it is not illegal to import parts of it. I'm not sure I'm correct though.

Thanks for all your posts and updates. I hope this man is extradited and is punished to the full extent of the law in Zimbabwe.

One bit of good news Cecil's brother has stepped in to protect his Cubs from another lion. It is amazing that animals have the instinct to do this they are wiser than we give them credit for.

"The cubs fathered by Cecil the lion are being protected by his brother amid fears they will be killed by a male rival, researchers said today.

The much-loved lion was killed by American dentist Walter Palmer earlier this month, sparking outrage around the world.

After his death, there were fears his cubs would be killed by the next lion in the hierarchy – a male named Jericho – so he could father his own offspring with the females in the pride.

But a team at Oxford University's Wildlife Conservation Unit, which had been studying Cecil before he was shot dead, said the lion's brother had stepped in to safeguard the young."

Sun Sentinel article from 2009 regarding imports.
http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/sfl-animal-skins-ivory-meeting-051309-story.html

"Because these wildlife parts were being imported into the United States -- even if they weren't to be sold -- the company required permits, and it didn't have any, federal prosecutors said. The law is intended to discourage poaching of endangered species."

So maybe Palmer didn't have the permits to import the head?

Is anyone aware of other cases where someone has been extradited for crimes in Zimbabwe from the United States I just wondered how common it was and if there was any precedents.

If Dr. Palmer is not careful, he might lose the "Dr." Part of his name!

"Dr Palmer is wanted for questioning on suspicion of breaking two laws – deliberately luring an animal from the park to kill it, and removing the lion’s identifying collar (which should have protected Cecil from being hunted), also a breach of the rules."

"He’s just a smirking, vile, callous assassin with no heart, whose shameless boasting of his disgusting exploits is almost as repellent as the exploits themselves."
