MN - Dentist Kills a Tame Lion- Catches Heat, July 2015

  • #441
Hoping all his patients decide to switch dentists. Even if he hadn't killed Cecil, would you want an alcoholic for a dentist working in your mouth???

I think this is a bit unfair. Recovering alcoholics are hard working, dedicated people. This guy is an a-hole, and that has nothing to do with his addiction.

Palmer's loving daughter. Rotten apple from rotten tree?

(snipped the photo cus it upsets me too much)

I'd sure like to know where those wolves were killed. If it was in Minnesota she's in deep doodoo.

Sick apple falls close to the tree apparently.

I can't type what I really think or I'll get a time-out.

The article linked above gives new details about Palmer's 2006 illegal bear hunt. Watch the included video too. This incident is eerily similar to the Cecil hunt. Palmer's actually a convicted felon because he lied to federal agents. I don't think that point has been emphasized enough by the media.

^It's obvious that Palmer is an arrogant, self-entitled, self-centered liar.

^BBM. So, Mr. Palmer is also a recovering alcoholic. Hmmm.. I'm guessing he fell off the wagon recently.

BBM I'm sure this has already been hashed out on the thread, but how does a convicted felon keep his license to practice dentistry?????

Well that is an interesting question. Is it true that doctors literally get away with anything? From what I've observed over the course of my career, they pretty much do, compared to anyone else in the health industry, including nursing, etc. Must be why doctors have that infamous "God complex". In this case, all society and the AMA has done is entitle a self-entitled narcissist (sociopath?) even more than he believes he's already entitled. They helped to create a monster.

Okay true, but we don't know if he's in recovery. Either way, I still hope he loses his practice. He ought to lose his license. Wonder if anyone has reported him to the board that oversees dentists?? Is it the AMA or do they have their own oversight board??:waitasec:

I believe it's the ADA, American Dental Association. They probably wouldn't bother with him, just wait for him to self destruct.

I found the answer: unless his felony was "reasonably related to the practice of dentistry", there is no sanctioning or punishment by the Minnesota Board of Dentistry.

They even made a press release recently which though it doesn't name the Cecil-killer directly, it's pretty clear who they're talking about.

So basically he has to screw up as a dentist in order for them to care, and they won't tell the complainant what actions they take, although anyone can file a complaint...

Thank you. :)

I know many recovering alcoholics who have decades of sobriety behind them. And perform their jobs brilliantly.

I think Walter is despicable for reasons not related to his alcoholism.

'I'm heartbroken at the disruption to the lives of my staff': Lion killer dentist breaks his silence as he denies Cecil took an excruciating 40 hours to die - and says he will be back to work on Tuesday

Walter Palmer gave his first interview to say he will be back at work in days

He slammed claims Cecil the lion took 40 hours to die after he shot him

Insists he did not realize Cecil was Zimbabwe's most beloved creature

And he expressed exasperation at the way his staff have been treated

One of Walter the macho man quotes:

"I've been out of the public eye. That doesn't mean I'm in hiding," Palmer said. "I've been among people, family and friends. Location is really not that important."

It's obvious that Walter is really bugged because the media said he was in hiding. This essentially beheads and skins his inflated ego. Well Walter, for all intents and purposes, you were in hiding (and probably sucking your thumb)!

Dentist who killed Cecil the Lion will NOT face charges in Zimbabwe

Walter Palmer of Minnesota had his papers in order before the hunt that led to a global backlash

'It turned out that Palmer came to Zimbabwe because all the papers were in order,' Environment Minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri said on Monday

Big surprise. Now he should get together with the vet who killed a cat with an arrow and they can have themselves a party.

I don't need to see his picture, one word:karma

Really, looks like he's aged about ten years, rather gaunt, must have missed his last cheek filler appointment. Looks like his dye job needs refreshing too. Makes me think of The Picture of Dorian Gray, his evilness is coming out.
