PROCTOR — Police are searching for a missing 79-year-old man.
Harvey “Ace” Dilly was last seen at the Hillside Gardens Apartments off Old Highway 2 in Proctor on April 4. The next day, a home health care worker told city police that they had showed up for an appointment at Dilly’s apartment there and he was absent, Proctor Police Chief Kent Gaidis said Thursday.
Dilly is approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. Police said he is likely wearing dark clothing and a motorcycle vest with patches. He told them previously that he was considering going to the International Falls area.
Dilly may have dementia and is on medication for mental health issues, Gaidis told the News Tribune.
Authorities there have searched the area around Dilly’s apartment and have called law enforcement in International Falls and Koochiching County for assistance.
