This is really simple.

Dark night, 3 boys alone for the 1st time at night. A couple cars pass them on the way to Tom Thumb which were accounted for but NO cars passed them on the way back.

Boys did not see or hear a car leaving with Jacob nor were there strange cars parked on the road, up DR driveway or directly across DR driveway where the boys ran. NO UNIDENTIFIED TIRE TRACKS IN DR driveway after Kevin came foreword. So obviously, no car.

Who felt so comfortable laying in wait on DR driveway and then taking an abducted Jacob at gunpoint at least 40 feet up same driveway? Who knew FOR SURE that nobody would come walking/driving down that driveway? The only person home at the DR house knew for sure.

Who had access in 15-20 minute timeframe to black pantyhose who didn't use a car to get to abduction site? Who was interviewed by the local news asking if his mother owned black pantyhose and he said no...camera panned past black pantyhose hanging in bathroom.

Who did NOT respond to the abducted boy's heartbroken mother when she wrote him a letter asking him to contact her? Who NEVER even once called, sent a note or stopped by to offer this family support after their son (who is the same age as his students) is abducted at gunpoint at the end of his driveway? After all these years Patty Wetterling found DR at the gym to confront him. He never reached out to her, her husband or Jacob's siblings.

A boy is abducted from a teacher's driveway and all he can do the next morning is go through the crime scene tape and head to work as normal. He never once reached out in any way to the Wetterling family. Never.

Who called 911 2 hours after abduction and failed to mention a car that he said he saw when police confronted him at work the very next day? He did not mention a strange car that night or the next morning to cops on scene. Only when approached at his place of work did he come up with the idea that there was a car.

Thank you for being brave and tackling the facts. Who would leave a vehicle on the wrong side of a hill and on someone elses gravel driveway in the pitch black of dark? and a stranger masterminded all of this within 20 minutes?

This is a great summary of the case against DR. However - they've had 10 years (since 2004 when Kevin came forward) to build a solid case against this guy and charge him. ???? Where's the evidence? Yes, he's a wacko and clearly has issues showing empathy, but does that make him the kidnapper?

Joy says The Hunt has received 111 new tips and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has gotten over 100 tips since the show. Yay!!!

The focus on DR appears to have shifted elsewhere since there is no admissible evidence to charge him. Perhaps LE and the FBI know best to look in a different direction, since they have information we do not have.

Let us hope that the tips are real instead of stuff such as , " I had a dream and...."

Back to HEY YOU.

Why would he lie about the black panty hose? Such a blatant lie as well.

Kind of like when a kid has chocolate on his face and says he did not eat the cookies. I always have concerns about adults who are liars. I understand it from children, but with adults it screams red flag.

Don't we all wish the evidence would come screaming forth.

However, that is not the case and without the solid evidence, there is no point in going to court.

I imagine LE has evidence, but it is not enough to gain a conviction.

Shifted to where? I see no indication of that. Joy may be thinking that and wishing that so she can catapult to fame with her strange claims.

Has LE come out and said that DR is no longer a POI and they have others that are?

The FBI and LE have not changed DRs status from POI nor have they focused elsewhere. It is Joy and The Hunt that have moved the focus from DR. Joy is looking for fame not closure for the Wetterlings IMO and The Hunt was the absolute worst, uniformed piece of garbage that I have ever watched regarding a missing person. Shocked that John Walsh would be putting out a show without laying out all the info that we have....all he or his producers had to do was read all the pages of facts here on the forum and of course corroborate with LE. I feel like he just grabbed the Jacob Wetterling story and half-assed it to get ratings for his new show. So very disappointed that the show was clearly just for ratings, not for real information.

Not uncommon at harvest time . . . but grain buyers usually pay by check, don’t they?

Or was it an entirely different commodity, sold on a Sunday afternoon?

When you ask the right people the right questions, you might get answers, and you might get more questions . . .

:worms: :worms: :worms: :worms: :worms: :worms:

Prov. 11:14

Mossad,

The church is thick with cash. Did one of the priests maybe hire someone to procure for them a specific age/type of boy? Or did they pay cash for info? To whom can we ask questions - the student teacher from St. Ben's? She said she was at the Tom Thumb -- did she recognize someone there -- a priest or ? Did she recognize any forensic sketches done i.e. Jared's case? If she was the one who gave the sheriff a description of the man lurking at the Tom Thumb, did she also give the sheriff an idea of who the mysterious man might be? Is it possible the sheriff has always had an idea of who the perp is but did not want the name revealed for whatever reason?

You obviously have (much much) more info than me, and I could be misunderstanding you altogether.

Is getting to the truth in this case even possible?

I'm not the best at puzzles, but I can think outside of the box. Or am I on the wrong track altogether? If you think I am, please give a sleuther a break and tell me. I have been searching for answers for over ten years.

Thank you in advance if you decide to answer.

You guys keep coming up with theories that involve a vehicle. Why don't you expand on it to make it believable? So the pedo priest hires someone to procure a boy and the guy drives (again, really with the car) down a dead-end street, hides his car somewhere randomly, puts on his pantyhose mask and grabs Jacob, walks up DR driveway and then what? And Why up DR driveway?

We need to remember that all the cars that passed the boys going to Tom Thumb were accounted for. NONE passed on the way back so perp was already in place waiting.

  • #690
And.... The priest was ready to go at a moment's notice.

Maybe they had priests on watch like they do on ships so that at any time, one can race out and get a boy.

After all, there weren't plenty out there in a city such as Minneapolis. And their perv priest buddies could not tell them about the vulnerable boys they already had in their evil clutches.

But how does anyone here with the alternate non-DR theory explain how the perp got into position if all cars that passed boys were accounted for? They walked, but how did perp know boys passed if they were not in one of the cars that passed boys on their way there? How did a random perp know that these boys were going to be passing DR driveway at exactly the time they did? In order to know that boys would be coming back that way, they had to see them going that way. Or are you guys saying a random pedo-child abductor purposefully chose to go into a street that had no outlet virtually eliminating a 2nd direction to get away and just stood there in the dark on a driveway that the homeowner could come down at any time as far as they knew with black pantyhose on his head and hoped a boy would happen by?

If you are giving an alternate theory, please explain the MO. Your random pedo standing on DR driveway without a car is not believable.

I think that is a very harsh review of the show. I applaud John Walsh for featuring this 25 year old case and bringing attention to it again. Yes, all the details were not explained (they did not have a 3 hour time slot) and some of the re-enactments were a bit off. But honestly, I think overall it was very well done and the scenes were haunting. The actor they picked to play Jacob was a dead ringer and portraying the boys on the ground....it just gives me shivers.

You have to remember that they make these shows palpable to the general viewer. They can't go into 15 different scenarios and minute details. People will get confused and lose interested. IMO they picked the most plausible angle at the moment (that Jared and Paynesville cases are related) and they went with that angle.

I think John has done some tremendous work in his career and he would never "half-🤬🤬🤬" a show on a topic like this. He of all people understands how the Wetterlings feel. If you have media contacts, then ask another show to take a different angle. But don't begrudge John Walsh for making a very good effort at one particular theory.

And how do you know that LE and FBI have not changed their focus? Are you a member of the investigation team? If not, they how can you say that? It sounds like you think you can do better than Joy...so where is your blog? Who cares if this puts Joy's writing in the spotlight. It's for a good cause and she's done more interviews and divulged more details on this case than anyone else has. IMO, the only person who has a say in Joy's intentions is Patty Wetterling. Obviously she supports Joy's efforts, so I think we should follow Patty's lead. Do you think Patty would allow a woman to gain fame and fortune off of her son and family's tragedy?! Of course not.

I agree with thenotebook. Without strong evidence they can't name DR on tv, since they have not arrested or charged him with anything could he not sue them?. I'm not saying i think he's innocent but after all this time the renewed attention Joy has managed to bring can only be a good thing. If after 25 years The Hunt can generate over 100 tips it must have been worth showing. Lets hope some of them were decent and actually lead to something.

I stand by my personal opinion that there was virtually no research done on the Wetterling case for The Hunt. There are facts in this case that were not covered. There is evidence from the DR home that is still being held by LE and has not yet been returned. The agency who named Dr the POI has not retracted his status meaning he is still the only named POI.

And Patty Wetterling will do whatever it takes to keep her son's name out the in the public eye as would any parent in her situation. The most informative part of the show was when Patty stood across from the DR driveway and pointed directly BEHIND her as the direction the boys ran after Jacob was abducted. This eliminated the last possible place car could have been hidden. Previously, I was under the impression the boys were told to run towards the woods at the end of the street where they live...basically up that street. Now all roads have been accounted for, no cars were parked on the street or in that small area across from DR driveway. Yes, it was a haunting show and I could feel the anguish but there were little facts discussed about Jacob's case, only Paynesville and Jared. And 15 different scenerios? Really? How many involve a vehicle at the scene? I see you guys mentioning all the possible suspects but nobody has put them at the scene nor explained how/why there. There was a 15-20 minute time period while they were on that road they were abducted from where a perp had to plan and get into position AND had access to black pantyhose. The perp basically had to have already been in place. And again, no cars passed boys on way back.

Again, all my opinion of course.

Why cant we accurately know when DR first revealed a vehicle to anyone? Can we take a step forward and get an official answer.

The random streetlights, the moon. All special effects that did nothing but distort the scene of the crime.

The focus has shifted:
1. County Sheriff Sanner said the Painesville cases are now being actively investigated (May 2014).
2. DH and TH were interviewed in May 2014.
3. DH was questioned separately in June 2014.
4. Stearns County is now taking a closer look at several stranger assaults that took place in Paynesville in 1986 and 1987 (June 2014).
5. In 2014, there has been no further mention of DR.

When DR was asked what he said to the 911 operator he did not mention a car, when asked what happened when he approached cops that night he told cops he would search his own outbuildings...#1 Why search outbuildings if there was a strange car zipping around with small child in passenger seat? #2 No mention of strange car. Check the interviews, these are DR's own words.

DR is still a named POI
Stearns County still holds on to DR property as evidence.
Focus can be on DR as well as others.
DR only person that has been placed at the scene.
