So I guess we just wait until it happens again?? Until he is caught red-handed so to speak? THEN will the victim be validated?

I am completely disgusted that guys like this are still free to molest again. I can't believe any parent would let their child be alone (alter boy etc) with him. Is the alleged molestation case still being investigated or did it just "go away".

(Not upset with you Matthew, just feeling a bit incredulous)

No worries... it disgusts me as well. I'm not sure if the misconduct was not serious enough or maybe wasn't found credible, but i'm sure they would need enough evidence to show that he needs to be on restriction. I've seen him once on one of my walks and he kind of gave me the creeps, and that was before I knew he was a priest. I don't know how people can continue to want to have any part of that parish with its history of child molesters (or even have any part of an organization that has covered up such crimes)... they have to either be in denial or just not care.

I have posted on here before that I was helping a friend in a foreign country with an issue of his murdered grandparents in the early 70's. I got a hold of the cold case guy in CALIFORNIA. Very wealthy area.

He told me that my friend's father who is dead was never considered to be a viable suspect. Most everyine else that could be asuspect such as the younger butler that the grandma married at one time or the other relatives are all dead.

The detective said it was still considered an open case.

I was listening to PUBLIC RADIO and there was a program on today about the kidnapping of Virginia Piper in 1972. She was taken out of the backyard of her Orono home (area of $$$$$$$$$$$$ homes) and held for $1,000,000 ransom.

I was doing errands so I did not hear much of the program except that millions of dollars were spent on finding her. She was found alive tied to a tree in a park in Northern MN. The FBI had experience with kidnappings because of this famous case.

So to say that LE were total bumblers, I doubt it.

Oh please. Of course people go on that road. But has anyone else gone to the abduction spot on the 25th anniversary, in the dark, at the exact time of the abduction?! NO. That is all I meant. Good grief.

Have they? I think one of the things some perps do is go back to the scene of the crime. I wonder if there is a camera somewhere. Seems that there are no trees to hide it in though.

I was reviewing the Case Facts thread and noticed one thing that is incorrect in the Who's Who post. FJT is listed as a former parish priest in St. Joseph, but he is actually the current parish priest and he is not an admitted sex offender on restriction.

According to this he belongs on the list he is the current parish priest and not on restriction, but....:

He is a little more information on the alleged misconduct:

Exactly, Dave K. I don't believe LE or FBI has publicly given a reason as to why people were ruled out, why they believe no car was used in the abduction. They are keeping everything secret. Which is probably why this blog is so active. Too much room for speculation, not enough facts released by LE. It's been 25 years. Give the public more info so this can be solved.

The only one cleared is DAH unless they are looking at him again. He was cleared right away. Why?

I don't think they can say who they have cleared.

Let's say they announce that jBrown is now cleared. JBrown was never convicted or is in the public records, so jBrown could have a bit of a lawsuit with that.

And now everyone would be looking at jBrown wondering why jBrown was even considered in the first place.

DAH was in the paper all of those years ago because someone came forward and told about him. Then LE said it was not him

http://greaterminnesota.kstp.com/ne...ve-interview-jacob-wetterling-person-interest - 14 min interview w/DR from 2010; I found link on one of the Case Facts pages.

http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/video...est-goes-through-day-of-wetterling-abduction/ - WCCO interview w/DR.

I personally find this pretty interesting. A 14 min interview with DR, in 2010; it was after he was named POI and after the 2010 search of his property/house, which are talked about. I remember thinking, years back, when I was younger, (recently turned 60), but, I remember how I used to think that I'd be able to spot a Liar, and that just by watching, observing someone, under certain circumstances that, I'd be able to tell if someone is being or trying to be deceitful. However, I've followed truckloads of true crime, mainly on television for several years now, and it's amazing how so many people can seem perfectly sincere while they are being perfectly deceitful! Really, it's amazing! Having said that, sometimes, I am able to spot when someone is being deceitful, and/or, to rule someone else out as being sincere; by saying this, I mean that as I'm coming to conclusions as I'm watching a particular show (documentary type) and I'm trying to get a sense of who is being up front, and who is being deceitful, then I'm able to tell when the show progresses and reveals who's who, that I had it right as to who was lying or not.

I'm having to be Really, really cautious and reserved concerning DR. Watching this, and the other interview that I linked to a couple of days ago (I guess I'll just link to it again here) by WCCO, that he seems pretty straight forward to me, along with what I've read about him on Joy's Blog. He appears to be actually interested in having the case solved, if even for selfish reasons, because, he feels that having the case solved is the only thing that will be able to actually clear him. If he is in fact completely innocent; he's really put up with a lot from LE for a long time, a great many years.

I'm not making a case here that he's innocent or anything else, just making some observations; for whatever it's worth.

Something I noticed about this interview; the 14 min one; if you want to watch it Full Screen and you have to do that to be able to manipulate the controls, such as pause, back up, go forward, volume control, etc..., you have to select Full Screen before you hit play. If you just hit Play when it's in the small screen when you open the page, then it just plays, and you can't make it full screen or manipulate the pause, volume or anything.

Seems like there was something else that I had intended on including in this post; so, if I think of it, I'll have to include it in an edit.

During the interview, they speak about something about blood on a cedar chest, also something about an umbrella stand; well, this has been done in 2010; if there were anything of significance, especially concerning any blood, then there would have been action taken by now. Also interesting; one of the items listed on the search warrant was a 'silver hand gun' and DR says that neither he nor his father/family own or have ever owned any hand guns. It seems to me that with all the investigating that's gone on in this case, for so long, that if he and/or even his father had owned a hand gun that it would have been found out by now. And, it seems kind of significant, concerning the significance of a hand gun in this case, and other possibly related cases.

Minnesota Public Radio had a program on today Oct 23 which had an author who wrote a book called The Narcissistby You or something like that. Very interesting if you want to google and liaten to it.

He talks about how easily people are taken in because we like to think we are smarter than that. Sounds like a really good book.

As far as the blood, the Sheriff said they were keeping some things for advances in technology.

It could be that the advances are needed because of issues with the blood.

Why do you think the cadaver dogs hit on stuff at the farm?

Hi, I'm not certain whether I'd be interested in that book or not.

Holding something for advances in technology, concerning the blood; I really can't see that making sense. They have been for quite some time now able to get DNA from the most minute of sources.

Why cadaver dogs hit; I don't know except that, DR had stated that they threw animals into the burn pile that the dogs had brought back, and aside from that, in that kind of area, woodsy and such, I'd imagine that there have been more than a few wild animals that have died in the area. Following that; there are numerous accounts of cadaver dogs hitting in instances where no body had ever been found. It's just not that unusual.

A bit off topic, but here is an example that some people involved in a crime coverup will eventually crack and talk. In this case it was 40 years later.
We will never give up hope for justice for Jacob!

There are continuous advances on identifying blood.

Cadaver dogs are trained to hit on human, not animal. These were special trained dogs flown in from Louisiana.

So why did these dogs hit on a DEAD HUMAN BEING?

Really looking forward to reading your book ELOCsoul. When can we do that?

My goal is to have it released in mid April 2015. It's currently on track to meet that goal. The book will include a wide assortment of information about all aspects of the case, including media attention, community support, the search effort, and people who have been investigated.

It will be in the range of 200 pages.

The big dig. The bloody items. 2010

I don't understand your response! I understand the 2010 part; so cadaver dogs hit on something at DR's farm in 2010.

But in response to "Where on the Farm did the dogs hit?"

I don't know what you mean by "The big dig or The bloody items"

By saying "The big dig" do you just mean somewhere on the Farm, when they searched and dug up some property in 2010? I'm trying to find out what was it specifically that the dogs hit on. If you know.

And, what do you mean by 'the bloody items'?

I can't remember exactly where is was found, maybe in the basement or one of the outbuildings but apparently the dogs hit on an old chest that belonged to the Rassiers. I think it might have had what looked like blood on it. I tried to find the page i read that on but couldn't. Maybe someone else will

The big dig is the search of the farm in 2010
