Reading his bio, what's with the gap between 1988 and 1990 ? And he does resemble the sketch. Sure would like to know the dates of that sabbatical.

Interesting, but aside from a confession before his death, there would be no one to convict and no information as to JW's whereabouts.

To date the sheriff has not revealed what, if anything, was found in BW's room after his death. He has been asked for the information, but refuses to discuss the case on the grounds that it's an "ongoing investigation." Right. I continue to believe there may be at least one person who is aware of BW's activities, but they're not talking -- yet. I'm hoping someday one of BW's cohorts will have an attack of conscience and speak. It is said he had a sudden medical emergency while in the locker room -- but there has been talk he may have been attacked. We'll never know the truth about that either. I only bring up the abbey because neither Jacob's case nor Joshua's case has been solved. It seems that Jared may lean towards a specific suspect as being the perpetrator of his attack? Paynesville remains a mystery. I'm still not sure I understand all I know about it.

Yes indeed, and very convenient. But depending upon one's level of suspicion if his death was something other than accidental then there is someone or somepeople who may have information. And he DOES resemble the sketch. I've noticed through the years that obituaries can be very sanitized...maybe rightfully so considering the circumstances...but the truth of some people's lives MAY be darker than what is presented.

Why is it that Jacob and Joshua disappeared and no others? There's been more than enough victims who have lived to tell their tales....but why these 2?

Is there a triangular connection between Jared, Jacob, and Joshua?

I think that Fran Hoefgren and Dunstan Moorse represent the sketch as well.

I am seeing a triangular connection of churches that are connected to the diosece of St Cloud. Cold Spring St. Boniface and I just learned that the catholic church in Paynesville is connected to the diocese of St. Cloud. So in this area monks are traveling back and forth from the heart of the abuse, the abbey.

I'm tending to follow your line of thinking.

The diocese released a list of 70 offenders, patrick wall was there, can we start talking and tie the vehicle with a luggage rack to someone?

That may require someone sticking their neck out to verify.

Sasquatch, the problem with the sketch of Jared's abductor is that the sketch looks like a lot of people...and the mind's eye tends to associate the sketch with possible perp pictures....I myself have likened the sketch to lots of pictures of possible perps. But BW to my eyes is fairly close, but not Hoefgren.

I'm not sure if they had the "sexton" title or not. They were in charge of gardens.

Here are links to Wollmerings bio and other articles on him:

Here's the link that brings up all articles relating to Bruce Wollmering.

Read shergal's first link, go to 'Abbey Spokesperson and Official Statements', then go to 'Official Statement of December 9, 2013: Release of Names of Monks Who Likely Have Offended Against Minors'...read this and tell me that this doesn't reek of disingenuousness. Would a victim have any faith in this statement?

“This list reflects our best efforts to identify those who likely have offended against minors,” said Brother Aelred Senna, OSB, spokesperson for the Abbey. “That task often is complicated by the passage of time, the deaths of some of those involved and sometimes incomplete accounts of the past. Even so, we are including all 18 names to provide as complete of a list as we can to acknowledge the pain suffered by victims. This list underscores our commitment to being transparent in our policies and procedures for dealing with allegations of abuse.
"Our commitment is reflected in the policies and procedures implemented over the past decade, particularly the External Review Board. This Board gives victims the assurance that allegations of abuse against minors will be investigated objectively, sensitively and thoroughly," said Brother Aelred.

I'm sure all the victims feel so assured.

There's something there. The elephant(s) is, are, in the room. Of which none dare speak.

The Catholic Church exerts a lot of control over communities worldwide. Individuals from all walks of life have the church ingrained into their daily lives from childhood. If you cross the church, it can retaliate. Excommunication is just one example. If you go head to head publicly, you might find that the owner of your local food store and your mechanic might suddenly not want to serve you any more. Some owe a debt for a nullification of a former marriage. And lest we forget, the church knows all the sins committed by those in the community it serves....confession. Dirty secrets, crimes, etc.... Outside of the Mossad, the Catholic Church has the largest intelligence operation in the world...and in some cases, influences political events. We are up against a very large brick wall with an endless supply of bricks and masons to keep in good repair.

Glad you posted this, Trackergd. Just hope you don't need a mechanic soon.

The catholic community is mainly good. It's the ten percent that are made slaves to the religion that are a problem.

The new Pope is amazing, I feel.

Let us not forget the priest that went to the Wetterlings to provide such sincere help.

Ugh. What was his name? Gillespie? And wasn't he found to be a molester?

Let us not forget the Wetterlings were not Catholic.

Wasn't Gillespie a very close family friend of the R family????

I remember when the Pope at the time prayed for Jacob. How sickening all that is to hear about now.

I am Catholic but completely understand the negative sentiments. I still do not know why a priest would do this with their access to children. Socially advanced pedophiles (doctors, teachers, police officers, clergy) groom their victims.

Jared's perp seemed to be quite brazen. I think it seems more like a laborer mo, DAH possibly bahner

The sociopathic priest theory is possible, but why so many years apart with different types of victims?
