I will continue my research in all areas related to these cases. As far as I can see DR is the only one on the roaster so far. If we do not continue to seek answers these cases will never be solved. I am of the mind those who could and should have solved these cases have done a terrible job. Just my opinion.

Question which has been asked before: Anyone know if Jared can identify his attacker? Let me rephrase, do you think Jared has been shown all photographs of all potential suspects?

Let me ask if I'm reading this right; I think I am. I'm referring to the third picture, with the red rectangle, and the description of that picture.

Your statement: "This is a close up of the toe portion of the print. Note the mounding around the front of the print and the small stones. The mounding ends at the tire print suggesting that the rear tire rolled over the mounding that would have extended further."

My interpretation: Jacob's footprint, the 'mounding' comes from the pressure when the print is made; it's broader to the left and right than it is at the toe, because, the 'mounding' made straight ahead in front of the toe, was tracked over by a tire print.

Your statement: "white stone in the car tire print has been forced into the ground, but by only one tire, not both. This was a stone roll from the mounding on Jacobs print."

My interpretation: The front tire has already rolled by, making the initial 'first tire' print, then Jacob's footprint is made, causing the mounding; and the one white 'larger' stone rolls forward from the footprint, and then the rear tire rolls over that. The 'second' tire basically flattens and embeds the 'mounding' from Jacob's footprint, but, since the one stone is a bit larger, it is not fully embedded because it fell there after the initial tire print was made, making the ground there a little more dense, then it's rolled over by the 'rear' tire only.

I hope I've got that right. That makes sense to me.

By the way, can you (or anyone) let me know how you make the colored lines, arrows, etc..., where do you start; I don't know at all how to do that.

Correct. I did the pictures as "snips" from the video when paused, saved them, then opened them in MS Paint and did the arrows etc.

Great post Tracker! I'm wondering about that print that you said looks like a flat bottomed flip-flip. Could it have been a black rubber cover over a boot, like the one in the picture linked below? These were extremely common on farms, and were referred to as "rubbers".

Overshoes have an arch in the center in most cases that follow the arch in the shoe they cover. All the ones I have had have arches. I don't think it was "rubbers" over boots or shoes. Same with the rubber boots with metal snap over hooks on the front referred to as "Galoshes" that were popular back in that era.

I think Jared has seen all of the potential suspects over the years. I wish he'd join this board!

I think there is another viable suspect on the roster that we can't discuss because he hasn't been named in MSM. Very frustrating!

What is most disheartening to me is that LE hasn't been able to gather enough evidence after 25 years to make any movements in the case. We live in an age with the most advanced forensic technology and so many eyes have read those case files. There is no such thing as a perfect crime. How can this case NOT BE SOLVED after this long?!?

I gather the individual you are referring to has done nothing to draw the attention of LE? Does the individual have a rap sheet of related crimes?

Everyone please stop for a moment and really take in what I am going to say to you;

What if you get up in the morning, get your coffee, sit down to the computer, only to find out that your name and picture is being spread all over the largest true crime discussion board in the world as a possible suspect?

This is why we do not allow posters to put up information about innocent people. Even if their information is public record. My information is public record and I certainly don't want someone trying to connect me to a crime I had nothing to do with just because of some tenuous micro thread of a connection.

Please remember your words have power. Imagine if you had give your real name and take ownership of what you have posted on the Internet. Would you be OK with what you have posted?

Now, don't think for a second that I am suggesting anyone is going to have to give their real name to anybody for any reason. That's not going to happen. I'm just trying to get you to understand your words have power.

But just as one Websleuther to another -- man, it sure is an unfair world (not talking about here - just in general). I'm thinking about all the unsolved crimes right now -- especially the ones involving young people...Ellison, Guimond, Negrete, Wetterling ... and I learn things as I research and make discoveries that put a lump in my throat and a knot in my stomach. But like everyone here I just keep going on because someone has to care and sometimes it might just be us --

The Phantom is roiling with frustration at the moment (again at unsolved cases in general!) but will never abandon the ship!! I hope no one else does either .... this means you (whoever is reading this!).

I understand also. I'm not frustrated with WS, more just frustrated that LE hasn't named some of these people publicly to start putting the pressure on.

All I can do is stare at this screen. What was done with Jacob, where is he? Were all the nearby lakes searched? Does the state of Minnesota list all levels of sex offenders and do these offenders remain on the list indefinitely as they do in my neck of the woods? For those who live in the vicinity of St. Joe's, does the community pursue answers from the sheriff or are they resigned to never getting answers. There are a handful of people who have seen the Wetterling file. Have their tongues been tied? Has the notion of justice become ephemeral and unobtainable? Barring a deathbed confession, I doubt the truth will ever be made known.

Calling Mossad, whoever and wherever you are, is this how you feel too?

If you want to discuss DR, go ahead. But we have gone 'round and 'round DR over and over. There is no reason that we cannot discuss other ideas as well. Just ignore what you don't like and let others discuss other ideas, theories, etc. freely (within the WS rules, obviously).

We may have discussed DR, but nothing about how he is out in the community or things he may have done as a teacher.

There must be something. There is nothing of any interest, good or not, about him.

For me it is of interest that he teaches children in his home and in after school programs.

I think being named as a POI should be of concern. It is the BCA and the FBI.

The Wetterlings owned rental property for SJU/CSB students. Or, Jerry managed them. My brother graduated in the early nineties and his friends lived in a Wetterling property.

Perhaps LE has their suspect but not enough evidence to prosecute.

That's the way it is.

And I am sure that would be fine with anyone if they were a suspect.

I agree Human. It had to have taken some genuine evidence and real legality to suddenly expose this person to the public.
