I'm going to put this out here since I have done some extensive google earth research of the immediate area around the abduction site looking for a place to dispose of a body. If the abductor took to the R family fields heading away from the road and towards 75 to avoid confrontation (also causing the dog to bark), crossing over near where Sound Connections is now, you end up in some empty land with an auto yard (and containment pond) and a concrete block plant (with a holding pond) and another holding pond behind Bimbo Bakers and Battery Wholesale. Did all these holding ponds exist at the time? If so were they checked? Was the scrub and wooded land between the R farm and 75 grid searched...I don't mean ride around on an ATV..I mean every inch checked? This is part of that 200 yard theory area. It also sort of falls into the Sauk river as well. If we have learned nothing else about body disposal over the last 200+ years, it's that water and woods are popular spots to dispose of body.

Land Around Farm 2.jpg

What are the spots with the red arrows? The one near the farm has access to the river and the one on the other side seems to have tractor trailers parked near the large pond. Transient truck driver with access to the pond?

Just wondering after 25 years what active investigators do each morning. Have coffee... go over the same evidence... seems tax-payers may not be getting their money's worth.

Yes, I totally agree. What are they actually doing on a daily basis to solve this case? It'll be 26 years this fall and no significant movement at all since 2010. It's arguably the most high profile child case in MN history. They have boxes and boxes of files and evidence (?). The answer is there. Find it already!

The answer,is probably there, but there is no body and no evidence that points to where the child is. I think with the cadaver dogs hitting on something, they know something happened on that farm.

But so what? They know someone died there. They must not have evidence that the death was Jacob. It would be nice if there was someone who knew something about DNA and the degradation and what might be the case of blood stains on a chest.

Maybe cedar breaks down blood? I do not know.

What we do know is that cadaver dogs were brought in, cadaver blood may have been found and a ton of material was dug up and sifted.

Did LE get a tip? What made them go that route? We do not know.

I really hope some strange thing happens and the answers come.

I think of the case of Hannah Graham which probably has the answers to Morgan Harrington as well. The perp was caught on video. After he left the state, a woman who just happened to see his face on TV saw him on the beach.

At first they would not take her report, but she persisted and he was caught.

To me those are all strange things that happened. Let something as intense please occur with Jacob

Aaron is doing great. About two weeks ago I was in my neighborhood driving around with my dog when I look and see some people playing tennis across the street from the St. Cloud hospital. One of those people stuck out to me as I drove by, did I just see Aaron Larson? I drove a little further and decided to turn around and see if I could confirm it. I parked my car right across from the tennis court and realized yes, this is aaron larson, enjoying a nice day of tennis with family and friends. I kept trying to confirm from about 50 feet away that it was him and there was no mistaking it. He looked at me a few times but I dont think he ever knew I was there because I had recognized him. I wasn't about to disturb their day by getting out of the car and saying hey are you Aaron Larson? I knew better then that. I saw a man who is living a healthy, happy life and spending valuable time with his family. It made me realize that maybe I am letting this case get to me too much sometimes. We must live on, we must find happiness, for Jacob. Jacob is proud of his family and his best friend, Aaron Larson.

Doesn't Aaron live in southern MN? Well I suppose he could have been visiting someone in St. Cloud.

ETA: He lives in Slayton, MN

I think LE knows who did it, and they just can't prove it----------> YET.

It's possible there may have been some DNA on DRs property, but not because DR had anything to do with it....IMO. I still think there was a car involved. Long driveway, and a car would be difficult to see if it's pitch black outside.

The boys ran so fast, they were probably far enough away to not see a car take off. When the one boy looked back, and he said Jacob and the perp were gone, is probably when he was being put inside the getaway car.

Someone that would know the area well, would have been able to get out of there quickly. With the boys not seeing a car, and not reporting a specific car, the cops don't know what kind of car to look at. The perp could have parked his car anywhere, taken Jacob into a house/building, and the cops could drive by not knowing a thing was going on. They could have held Jacob captive until they could take him somewhere further away.

I really do hope they find the answers soon....THIS YEAR!!

What evidence made you come to these conclusions?

Agreed. The evidence was probably there, IMO...in 1989, especially, I'd expect the perp to have left tons, not expecting the technological advances we've made since then. I'm just hoping LE didn't wait too long to start their in-depth search for that evidence.

I think, like some others seem to think, that they probably do now know who did it...whether they could get that person convicted with what they currently have on him is another story.

Thank you Emeraldine. Well stated.

Now back to Jacob, was there any mention of the perp wearing gloves?

I have never seen or heard about that in MSM or anywhere else. What would it mean?

  • #433
Yes, back to Jacob.

No idea about gloves. It must have crossed his mind that his fingerprints are as identifiable as his face, so I'd expect him to wear them.

If he thought it was cold enough to wear a big, puffy jacket, I'd also expect him to have worn gloves for that reason.

But, yeah, there's no mention of whether or not he did that I can think of, either.

...actually, also, I wonder if the perp really did have a husky build, or if his jacket was just "poofing him up" so he looked bigger.

He could be a lot more people if that part of his physical description doesn't matter.

It was not cold. It was unseasonably warm. A spectacular day.

Where would he leave fingerprints?

Good point about the clothes, however the sketch portrays him with what I would call a thick face, neck imo

That's a good question. I don't know where he'd leave fingerprints out in nature. If he did, they'd have been gone quickly.

He might have expected to, though...unless he planned from the start to abduct one of the boys from that exact location(and he may have, given how "ready" he seems to have been).

The temperature and the jacket, though...if it wasn't cold, I wonder why he'd wear it. Unless it was all he had to protect his other clothes from showing the evidence of what he did to Jacob.

Or covering up his true build

I also agree, and I'm not getting what they're doing with the boxes of evidence, considering this has gone on nearly 26 years. I do hope there's oversight. Maybe they need to retool a few things.
