If LE honestly thought DR did it, they would have found something of substance in 2010 and he'd be trialed and jailed by now. They wouldn't let him continue teaching students and roam the community. They've had 25 years to arrest him, and they've never done so. They haven't even arrested and released him (unlike SOMEONE ELSE...hmmm)

Whomever does solve this case will be a hero in MN. If they had enough on DR they would have arrested him years ago.

I can tell LE believes DR is the guy. I'm sure they have thoroughly discussed what they have with prosecution and know they don't have the obvious things needed to press the charges. The BCA agent asking DR to confess tells me exactly who is on their "radar".

Why? Why him? He certainly isn't as palatble of a choice as some of the others that have been mentioned here.

Why not pin it on DAH? People would love that. He has abused so often it would be a winner.

Or how about the Hubers? Murderers.

I recently did some studying on cadaver dogs. They will hit on human blood or human remains, nothing else. It is a very unique smell, unlike any other.

Cadaver dogs hit on items in DRs shed. That means one thing. Why is it there? We may never know.

Luckliy, we live in a country where the police usually do not manufacture evidence. And that is a good thing. They cannot fire him without cause. And suspicion is not cause,

As we know from cases on here, LE often knows who did it, but they do not have enough to arrest. Sometimes miracles happpen

Oh, but LE does manufacture evidence, and they even do bad things to people who get in the way. Some in LE even make investigators destroy reports (it's happened in other states) I don't know about the SCSO, but I know this happens.

Do you think all cops are honest? Or perhaps only Stearns County?

How can you tell LE thinks he is the guy? Are you basing this on things they've said through the media? Or how do you know?

I'm sure they do hope he's the guy. They spent all that time and money to search the farm and they walked away empty handed. How embarrassing for Sanner.

Yes, I agree, I think the only possibilities are that he saw them going to, or near the store, and went south on the road to wait - hoping they'd come back. He would have no way of knowing if they were going to a friend's house unless he heard them discussing the video, IMO. Or he was already out in DR's yard or on the road somewhere and ducked down in the ditch when he saw/heard them coming from home and watched from the ditch (rustling noise) as they went past, and then moved to DR's driveway to stop them on their way back. He could have had a car on the brush road leading into the party spot, or parked in DR's driveway. Those seem like the most likely scenarios.

Another possibility: There was another person involved, and they called the perp and told them when to expect the boys.

Can it be that there are bone fragments in the sifted soil and ash but they are waiting for advances in order to identify what these fragments are?

Or are they waiting to identify the blood on the chest with advances in technology? Or are there things on the umbrella stand ?

Regarding DNA: the advances are already there. Forensics is very advanced today, and they were in pretty good shape 10 years ago. In 2010, they had everything they need to test any possible DNA found.

I don't think DR did it but don't agree with the DNA advances...technology will continue to improve the ability to test samples
