I agree. The lack of progress by LE is very frustrating. For goodness sakes, turn over a new card and release some new information or SOMETHING. Clearly being silent and doing nothing is not working. The answer is not going to fall from the sky. If they want the public's help, they need to give us something else to work with.

Why even think that LE actually wants the public's help? They seem to want to do this on their own, and we can see how that has turned out.

I just don't think they have any leads at all. I completely agree they need to start from scratch and if they have something they should get it out to the public.

Isn't that what happened in 2010 when the BCA was reviewing the case?

I'm sure some of you have seen Forensic Files at one time or another. In 2010 they collected several items from DR's/his parents property. Today's technology is most likely advanced enough to sort through what they pulled out of the ground, or his home.

DR isn't going to kidnap a kid, and an 11 year old kid, kill him quickly enough to keep him quiet, or have the time to secure him, tape his mouth before LE gets there....AND, come out of his home looking like he climbed out of bed, and groggy.

If it's just him, I doubt he would be able to control Jacob unless he drugged him, and based on what I've assessed on DR, he doesn't seem to have the history to have a plan of action to abduct a kid, and have everything so buttoned down, that LE would not find one clue on the first search.

The only way I feel DR could be connected, is if he knows something. It's possible LE is evading what he knows, or put a gag order on him.

LE just needs to get busy, and look into another direction. I can't begin to tell you my frustration with LE in Stearns County. I've spoken with them, and my experience was beyond frustrating.....more like maddening! :waitasec:

I think Jacob was kidnapped, and put into a car, and taken away.
It's already been stated in the news that they did not find anything of any use towards solving this case on DR's property.

LE has gone and confused everybody. They say via kevins confession that no vehicle was ever involved, the perp was on foot. Without explaining themselves anymore than that, they also release photos of the crime scene that says Jacob was taken by a vehicle. This is starting to become a real problem in this discussion, and being able to determine what in the heck we are supposed to believe.

Maybe that's the point. Maybe LE wants anyone who cares about this case enough to do their own investigating, to be confused, and stay that way.

The problem is that they have a bad history of crime solving... Real crimes, like murders and abductions. I just don't feel good about how the SCSO has handled any of this. When you read about it in the very beginning, you read about 15 FBI agents, BCA agents, and of course the SCSO. Eventually, they're down to one agent spinning his wheels. Everything goes through, and is cleared by the SCSO.... Then seems to take a 360..... Seemingly never going anywhere.

Maybe it's time the community start asking some hard questions on how this investigation has been handled, and demand new investigators come into the investigation. When's the next election for the Sheriff?

MAYBE......LE has their man. And MAYBE there's insufficient physical evidence but plenty of circumstantial evidence....MAYBE...just MAYBE...they have to follow the law and refrain from further inculcations.

Has it been discussed that Jacob wasn't the intended victim and the other boy the same age possibly was? An error made by the kidnapper?

Possibly, but I don't think it's DR. Maybe there's circumstantial evidence, or even factual evidence that points in another direction.

Maybe LE needs needs to be inculcated with other theories, but most of all, look at other facts. This DR stuff is beyond ridiculous.

I can't imagine what technology they're waiting for, that doesn't already exist to bring forth physical evidence. We have that technology in place now. It's probably been in place for over 10 years or longer. If it's to get DNA for the bones on his property... The technology is there for that, and old blood. I thought the bones were found to be animal remains.

I think LE is stringing people along.

Time for the SCSO to be retooled.

He was just elected. I guess the people like him.

Do you have a link for that? That they did not find anything on the property?

I would like to hear more about your interaction with Stearns County. Did they give you an appointment and with whom? Do you have credentials they dismissed?

Did they dismiss your research on the topography of the road? Did they dismiss ylour findings on the evidence they collected? Did they dismiss your knowledge of other perps because you know them so well?

Yes, Sanner was re-elected last fall I believe. I saw all the election signs. Ugh. Shergal determined the running mate was a distant relative of DR. He promised to work on Josh G's case and make it a priority if he won (told that to Josh G's grandpa). The Guimonds had a window of light shut out on them. They have been cut off of any communication from the DA, the sherriff and others.

Jbrown,

I have spoken with Josh's father, and I feel so terrible for him and his family! I can't believe the way they've been treated. It's shameful, and I hope that they can find someone to help them.

There is no reason tge loser candidate cannot work on the Guimond case. Is he not LE?

I know the Sheriff's term in office isn't 13 years. I said he was elected in 2002, and obviously elected 2 more times. He was just reelected again in November, and I miscalculated on the years.

Jacob's case has not been solved in 26 years, and they keep reelecting this sheriff....WHY?
Something feels very wrong with this situation. I've never spoken to the Sheriff, but I'd love to have the opportunity.

I don't understand. There are all of these peopke and NEMEC so what is tge problem? They have resources to deman answers and movement. What do the Wetterlings think? Why don't they move forward?

The people assigned to the case can only pass the information on to the appropriate parties investigating the case. They do not investigate. They can contact the SCSO, and Minneapolis FBI and suggest they meet with whomever has any potential clues to this case.

They can't make them move. They can pass on emails, send documents, and other information that is sent to them on cases.

They've been very active and helpful, but if the SCSO won't investigate it, their hands are tied.

Where the FBI plays into this, I don't know. I don't know what the SCSO is doing with them, but I know they're involved, but how much, I don't know.

Don't you think the Wetterlings could make it move?
