Anyway, here is an interesting short info piece on Moose Lake. I like the comparison to terminal patients. So true.

It is sad that these offenders grew up with lives of he** , but they cannot be set free.

It is too bad that huge tax dollars go for this.

Think of the money that is spent on incarceration and the money that is spent on finding these <modsnip>.

Then we have the human toll of people and families without their loved ones because of murder, missing, or having mental health issues because of being sexually abused.

I just wonder why there are so many pervs? What is the amount of child on the net? Something like 1,000,000 hits a month? Why?

I think i said this before. The worst sex abuse movie an investigator saw was of a baby with his umbilical cord still attached. Why? What is wrong ? We must find out what makes these pervs and work to stop it!!!!

Oh oh. I looked up Merlin and he is locked up as a sexual predator in Moose Lake.

regarding DAH....I read some of the links about him...apparently he was a serious serial abuser and used forcible methods to coerce his victims. Given that none of the victims disappeared, if he was Jacob's perp why would Jacob disappear? 2 interesting notes however are that LE had a 'sure link' between DAH and Jared's abductor and that DAH had no further molestations after 1989-90 so it could be possible for whatever reason that he was involved in Jacob's abduction.

Wasn't DAH incarcerated then? I think he served a prison term and then was civilly committed to Moose Lake.

IIRC , DAH was busted for his activities because a plea was made for any info on sex abusers. LE got his name and maybe a boy or man told of the abuse?

He was busted very shortly after October, I believe.

I think JB Brown posted info on here from the news articles she found.

Yes, he had no further molestations in 1989 because he was sent to prison. One article implied that LE didn't follow up on him too closely in Jared's case, because they already had enough to keep him locked up for life from his other molestations.

shergal....reading this report it states that the assaults began in the 1960's and ended in 1989 OR(my emphasis) 1990. I wonder what the exact date is that DAH was arrested + incarcerated? Do you know from your research?

I'll check if I have dates, ELOCsoul may know. Jared's abduction was in the beginning of 1989, and I think they were already looking into DAH's various molestations by then. But I'm not sure how long it too for them to actually arrest him.

I would imagine it's fairly secure, if you have a junk email you could use that instead of one with your name.

In looking through that report, I did note these dates:
In 1990 Hart pleaded guilty to six counts of criminal sexual conduct (ranging from second to fourth degree) involving four juvenile male victims.... The district court, in two separate orders, found that Hart met the standards for commitment as a sexual psychopathic personality and as a sexually dangerous person and committed him to the security hospital for a sixty-day evaluation. The court held a review hearing after the evaluation period. Staff from the security hospital reported that Hart had declined to attend treatment, and that his condition had not changed since his commitment. The court made Hart's commitment indefinite.

This is his mom's obit, Hart has a sister in New London, MN who would probably know incarceration dates exactly.

DAH's criminal sexual record starts Jan 1990 to May 1990. In May he was ordered to prison for 64 months (over 5 years). His record was 2nd 3rd and 4th degree. Kandiyohi county in the beginning of 1990 and Stearns County for the May charge. He was then civilly committed in Feb 1996. I wouldn't rule him out yet either, but it looks like he was near Willmar (Kandiyohi) when Jacob was abducted.

DR had one traffic ticket in 2010

I wish we had a good picture of him to compare to the sketches.

To clarify, the sure connection was not about DAH. The sure connection that LE established was between Jareds and Jacobs abduction. It's interesting because there are many occasions where LE linked the cases together, but after 2004 they did a one-eighty on that position. I wonder why?

The event was billed as the KASM October Fest. Bands featured included Nite Owls, Play Mor, Honey Bees and Jonny Helget.

Ok here's the interesting part, the festival was scheduled 1-10pm. So the festival was still going on when Jacob was abducted. I can't believe that information was not revealed before, because that would have the potential to put a lot more folks near the Tom Thumb about 9:00 pm than previously assumed.

Yep, I get what you're saying. I guess my logic was, if there is a sure link between Jared and Jacob's cases.....and then there is a link between Jared and DAH (fibers from Jared's jacket in DAH's car).....then potentially that also links DAH to Jacob's case.

I would find it hard to understand that being a deciding factor when the car could have been stashed out of obvious sight OR one abduction was close to the perps home and one was not.
