does anyone know if MSOP (MN sex offenders program) has pictures of its inmates like the prisons/jails do? I have not been able to find a recent pic of DAH.

His original arrest has to be a matter of public record. He has to have mug shots.

You may have to go to where he was originally arrested to get pics of him. Or maybe a fee can be paid and they would send copies?

Hopefully something will come of this, but already there are the people who are saying it happened to them. How to weed out truth from fiction will be hard.

I am still concerned with the trunk found at the DR home.

Did it have the cadaver scent or not?

Call the department and ask them. If they won't, at least they will know people want that information.

The Huber father (Del) and son (Tim) who have been mentioned in some of the new online articles now online (link below) were also looked at in Jacob's case. They are both in prison now also.

"In another twist, police interviewed Delbert Huber and his son Tim at the time but they were not arrested. They are both now serving time for the murder of Tim Larson during a dispute near Belgrade in 2011."

Back in 2013, our poster "the notebook" started a discussion on the Hubers:
http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=223701&highlight=Hubers&page=7 Thread 6, page 7, post #159.

The discussion was continued by Salem and cGorg on page 8, posts # 184, 185, 188 and 189. In post #192 I posted a comparison picture of Del, Tim and the two suspect photos.

They really did look a LOT like the suspect sketches from Jared and Tom Thumb. (Maybe TH may have been who Mossad was pointing at when he mentioned the "eyes", and lack of education, JMO.) The only problem I see with Hubers (other than that they were never arrested by LE after being looked at for Jacob's case) is their crimes all seemed to be shooting at neighbors or killing anyone who disagreed with them. Neither of them had any records of sexual abuse or pedophilia.

It's clowns like these guys that openly bust themselves. I believe we're dealing a very intelligent person in this case. I'm still honestly just biased towards DR.

What are anyones opinion on the selection process in this abduction. When he asks them their age, tells them to run as fast they can into the woods, and not to look back or he will shoot. In succession he lets the first and second boy go, of course only Jacob is left. and I am assuming he didn't ask Jacob his age, just took him. Does that point to more of just a game than it does an actual selection of priority? To me it's a game and points at DR. If this person was really being that selective it would point to an outsider/stranger. And the outsider would have asked all three their age then chose.

The boys were just starting their decent down the gentle hill when a man suddenly appeared from the driveway on their left.

"Stop!” the man shouted in a deep, commanding voice. “I have a gun!"
The boys skidded to a sudden stop. Trevor instinctively pointed his flashlight at the man. He caught a brief glimpse of him. He could see the man was dressed in dark clothing, black boots and a big, dark, puffy coat. He saw the flash of a gun in the man's hand. The man was a dark. Everything about him was dark.

The first thought to cross Trevor’s mind was that this was just a joke being played by someone from the neighborhood. He almost started to laugh out loud. The very same thought crossed Aaron's mind as well.

But it was not a joke. The masked man in the dark was serious, very serious.

The beam from Trevor’s flashlight quivered aimlessly. The instinctive sensation of “playful surprise” that came over Jacob, Aaron, and Trevor was shattered by a cold and stark fear. In an instant their collective spirit was transformed from the carefree innocence of youth, to a paralyzing hopelessness.

Trino, I don't want to argue, just stating the facts. See above, "dark puffy coat" is described in Jacob's abduction. The abductor wasn't described as short either as I have said before. The "dark puffy coat" would make someone appear stocky. That is the only point I was trying to make.

You're assuming all of the abductions took place in cooler weather. Maybe some were in summer.

Trino, also, I am only talking about Jacob's case as I have stated.

Aaron stated in one of his interviews that the abductor asked all three boys their ages, and Jacob said 11. I'll look for a link for you.

shergal, I think that is is the picture for the advertisement for the background check. If you "x" out the ad, the picture is removed. That handlebar mustached guy is on all their advertisements.

From my research I can tell you that initially all three boys gave their ages at once, which angered the abductor. He then ordered them to give their ages one at a time. I believe Trevor was dismissed right away, and the abductor looked at Jacob and Trevor in their faces before choosing Jacob. To me that sort of implies the man had a flashlight, but that's not been documented to my knowledge.

I think you are in the right track here. It's always been my opinion that the description of Jacobs perp defaulted to the description of Jareds perp. It took LE just three days to "link" the cases publicly. I think they got it wrong.

nmogren, we went over this a while back in the thread, but DAH's real name is Duane Allen Hart in court records. Criminals like to change names frequently and some people like to go by their middle names, so he sometimes goes by Alan Hart or Allen Hart. Changing names makes it more difficult for police and our research.

http://www.danielfuneralhome.com/obituary/marie-e-hart-1584/ This is interesting. Doing a search for Duane Allen Hart this comes up with a next of kin listed as Allen Duane Hart in Moose Lake…maybe in the sex offender prison? Originally from Paynesville….so what is his real name?

Marie was his mom. His legal/real name is Duane Allen Hart. (It was probably a typo in the obit.) Yes, he is in Moose Lake now. His case:

Also why is he even threatening a shot? is it not already dark as dark, you can't aim a pistol in the dark. The boys could have looked back after only running 50 feet, unfortunately. Or how about even implying "Woods" if your a stranger to the area. How did he know it was a Woods and not just a row of trees with houses on the other side. He knew that woods was woods and would put those kids out of the way for awhile.

I think they did too, I think this was probably just an isolated case and crime of convenience. No one knew they would be there, it was dark and they were on an isolated road and is just happened to be at the end of DR's driveway.

I don't think it is related to the others.

I don't remember in the 911 call where Jacob's brother said the perp had a coat on or much description at all. Just a mask on his face and a possible gun. He said he was tall, like the neighbor and spoke in a deep voice like he had a cold. Let me go back to the 911 transcript.

Nope, no clothing description I can find.

This lists the dark puffy coat and Trevor's flashlight. Where is this quoted from ELOCsoul?
