The news about Jacob W. must be stirring up some emotion and talk in the area.
Hoping that people who may know where to find Joshua, will find the courage and strength of character to step forward and share that information soon.

I have always wondered about why his computer was wiped by roommates.

Wonder where the roommates are now and if they would be willing to go over the events of the evening again?
Would they be familiar with the poi in the JW case?
Has any explanation been given as to why the computer might be " wiped"?

The murderer in Jacob's case is short. Josh was a pretty big guy. The murderer appears to like children

Not suspicious of JW's murderer, wondering instead about the people he may know and the stories he may have heard either on the outside or the inside of jail.
imo.
DH (the suspect in JW case) after all lived in the area and must have come under some very negative influence himself in order to do what he allegedly did, imo.
Where did he go to school and possibly church, ect,?
speculation.

This person?
http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?289198-Duane-Allen-Hart

Duane Hart entered Heinrich’s life around that time when he began dating his mother.

Police arrested Hart in 1990, three months after Wetterling went missing. He is currently committed to Minnesota’s sex offender treatment program for molesting dozens of men and young boys.
Robert Dudley wrote a book about Wetterling’s kidnapping. He says he turned investigative notes over to the FBI in 2014 from Hart, who admitted in those notes that Heinrich’s older brother was one of his victims.

Yes. Hart molested so many and was molested by so many.. He had no chance in life. Not that it is ok, but he lived a life of hell.

That is why, imo, kids should all be wanted children and to be well looked after, before they become monsters to themselves and society at large.

Have you read the monk papers that were released because of a molestation lawsuit? Not sure if Inknow how to google them but I Will try. They will give you the insight of what life was like at St. John's Abbey,

I have always wondered about why his computer was wiped by roommates.

They've recovered almost everything from his computer, last I read. They think the computer was wiped because it had a program which produced fake ID's to use to get into bars. One theory is a friend wiped that off so they wouldn't get into trouble.

I actually read them all. They are quite interesting, although there are hundreds of pages to read. What a cesspool of abuse at that monastery/school.

that is a good theory. the news crew that uncovered the computer data confronted the person who deleted all the emails and files. he wouldn't talk and slammed the door in their face.

This is a very tough case as it stands today. There is no good evidence he was abducted and there is no good evidence that he fell into a body of water and drowned. But it has to be one of the two. A dog did initially lead them to the water. Isn't it a fact that they didn't dive into the water until a winter had already passed? Well its no ordinary body of water, it's a chain river system. It is possible he had an accident and we simply waited to long to get into that water. I don't know why we would ever stop looking at this.

[h=1]The Search for Josh[/h] September 22, 2015
Monday, November 11, 2002: The entire St. Johns campus and surrounding areas were searched by horse and foot, including buildings, the power plant and all wooded areas. Divers from the Stearns County Sheriffs Department searched a slough on campus after a search dog led them to the area. The Minnesota State Patrol aided in the search sending helicopters to do an aerial search of the woods on and around campus, and a state-wide alert by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Minnesota Crime Alert Network Missing Persons Bulletin went out in all major media and twin cities newscasts. (This report is not entirely accurate. Searchers were not granted permission to enter St. John’s Abbey until January 5, 2003)

Tuesday, November 12, 2002: Campus buildings continued to be searched, as stated by Michael Hemmesch, St. Johns Director of Communications. He also stated that the Stearns County Sheriffs Department was conducting the search and had not yet asked for help from local volunteers. Offers from Maple Lake High School were turned down by the Stearns County Sheriffs department, which said that only prayers were needed at this time. (WHY was help turned down from volunteers? Was the University and law enforcement trying to stall the search?)
Tuesday, November 12, 2002: Per poster Phantom from Websleuths (“Josh Guimond” thread, page 8 post #106), a credible witness affiliated with St. John’s noticed that the campus incinerator used to burn trash was used on an unscheduled day. This information was reported to Stearns County Sheriff. At the time of Josh’s disappearance, the Abbey had their own cemetery and cremation was available.
Wednesday, November 13, 2002: The Minnesota National Guard stepped in to aid in the search, providing 118 troops and equipment and searching a 16-square mile area surrounding campus, including swamps and woods. After a search dog picked up Joshua’s scent near Stumpf Lake, a snake-like body of water located on the route Joshua would have taken back to his apartment, the decision to lower the water level in order to search the lake was approved. Searches and dragging of the lake uncovered no clues. Requests to totally drain Stumpf Lake awaited DNR approval.

To progress we need a pinpoint on a map where this dog went. You start from there again.

Young People Are Missing; Authorities Are Baffled

By JO THOMAS with JODI WILGOREN

Published: November 17, 2002

Mr. Guimond was the fourth young person to disappear since Oct. 30 in Minnesota and Wisconsin in circumstances that family members say are similar. Law enforcement officials say they have not ruled out a connection, but have found no evidence of any.
Erika Marie Dalquist, 21, who worked at a telemarketing company in Brainerd, Minn., 127 miles northwest of Minneapolis, was the first to disappear. Ms. Dalquist was last seen leaving the Tropical Nites, a downtown bar popular with students from Central Lakes College, in the early morning of Oct. 30.
Sgt. David Holtz of the Brainerd police said Ms. Dalquist was waiting for a taxi after the bar closed at 1 a.m., when she saw a man she recognized. She told her friends, who did not know the man, to cancel her cab, Sergeant Holtz said, ''and she walked away with this man.''
Next was Christopher Jenkins, 21, a senior and co-captain and goalie of the lacrosse team at the University of Minnesota. Dressed as an American Indian, he had gone to a Halloween party at the Lone Tree Bar and Grill in downtown Minneapolis.
Michael J. Noll, a student at the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire, disappeared on Nov. 6 after celebrating his 22nd birthday at the Nasty Habit Saloon, a bar popular with students on weekends.

Mike Rindo, a university spokesman, said Mr. Noll left the bar alone and intoxicated and subsequently walked into the house of a neighbor, who told him to leave. Mr. Noll's baseball cap was found on her lawn.
The police and firemen believe Mr. Noll may have fallen into the Chippewa River, which is near his home. On Nov. 12, dogs seemed to have found his scent near the water several hundred feet from his house, but a search found nothing.
''What's unusual about this,'' said Sheriff Jim Kostreba of Stearns County, who is handling the search for Mr. Guimond, ''is that we have four young people missing within a relatively small area. They're all about the same age, and they all disappeared at night.''
Paul Cheney, Mr. Guimond's uncle, said he saw similarities in the disappearances. ''Josh and Chris Jenkins look a lot alike,'' Mr. Cheney said. ''The three boys have the same build, same height, same coloring. Josh is about 5 feet 10, 170 pounds, with an athletic build. All were well-known on campus, outgoing, bright kids with good grade point averages.''
Mr. Cheney pointed out that these three disappearances were ''just off Interstate 94.''

Interesting comments from poster, TroyinTX on this thread.
