this was the response I received from Fr David after asking him if it was an attack instead of a nosebleed.

No, there was no indication from the coroners’ office of an attack since there were no blunt wounds.

wow, that is sad. It is hard to believe that all of that happened from a nosebleed and fall. That sounds like something much more serious. Horrible.
"Perhaps" and "probably", is all this a guess? It sounds like he could have been attacked. Could that be a possibility?

Maybe no blunt wounds, but what about being slammed into something by someone? To imagine the scenario, IMO someone would have had to be propelled by more force than a trip over a bench.

Prayers for Josh and his suffering family.

It is indeed plausible that some very nasty people have had inappropriate interactions with indivdiuals within the hallowed walls of St. John's Abbey.

Someone posted a monk obituary on Josh's website. It says that he was a deputy sheriff of Stearns county. I know the current sheriff who is investigating Josh's disappearance, John Sanner, apparently attended St John's. Also, his deputy sheriff was arrested for giving police explorer teens alcohol and sexually molesting them (he was in charge of the explorer club). If I were Josh's family, I would not trust the Stearns Cty sheriff dept with this investigation. See how much power and influence St John's University has over their Sheriff dept.
Ugh

Minnesota passed a law in 2000 making clergy mandated reporters. Before then, they did not have o report abuse of any kind.

If BW was attacked:

Might there have been a victim or victim(s) of BW who got revenge? A former jealous "lover" exacting revenge? Might BW have been revealing too much information, and he was dispatched of? Or, was he gotten rid of because his activities were causing too much controversy?

  • #148
Might BW have been involved with nefarious types such as satan worshippers, molesters, etc. ?

good questions concentric. I believe it to be the latter two questions you posed above. PS- I think Fr Dave of St John's or someone there who has a google alert is onto me- he's not responding to my emails for more info.

Phantom, that is a good question. However, when police hear that word "satanism", they shut down and won't listen to anything else. They think it doesn't exist (which we all know it does- look on the internet and you can find many websites about it). We have to prove hard facts about an individual's kidnapping, molestation and other major crimes before they will listen to any other details about possible satanism or crime group.

Agree with you JBrown. This case is a puzzle -- there are many pieces in front of us, with a few missing. I do beileve there may be a few souls who could help find those missing pieces -- but I think they're too afraid to come forward, and who can blame them.

Can someone get a transcript on here of the radio interview with Josh's grandfather?

I read today that Stearns County sheriff announced lab tests could not link Dan Rassier to Jacob Wetterling's abduction. So let's stand back a moment, and consider: three young men were abducted within a small radius -- Jacob, who was never found, Jared, who was raped by a male (wearing a disguise) and released, and Joshua -- never found. Three males within close proximity -- to me, it suggests there was a serial sex offender carefully making his rounds. And I will always ask the question: knowing there have always been sex offenders housed at St. John's Abbey, why didn't the sheriff seek to search the abbey as soon as Joshua went missing? Answer: conflict of interest, in my opinion. Shameful.

Bumping for Josh.
Something needs to be found at the Abbey.

If the sheriff or someone on his staff did find something in deceased monk Bruce Wollmering's room, could we be 100% sure that information would not be hidden/destroyed? How thoroughly was the campus, and more specifically, the abbey, searched? What about the cabins located in rural areas away from the campus? In an ideal world, cadaver dogs could be brought into those areas to search. Why would the university/abbey not allow this, what is there for them to lose, if all is well? A thorough sweep needs to be done of all the church owned properties, in addition to every hidden corner of that abbey. So many places unnoticed, untouched in that place; so many secrets, so many lies.....

What of the retreat cabin? How would anyone know who had been there and when, besides the multiple victims listed in the article, and still we don't know who was among the visitors. Seems pretty isolated. Could Jacob or Joshua have been taken there? Questions.

The cabin on Swenson Lake is owned by St. John’s Abbey as a place for vacations and retreats for the monks in the Benedictine monastery.

There are even monks who have pilot's licenses. Wonder if a plane was ever was used as transportation.

Um, what kind of lab tests since they have neither Jacob nor Josh?

I think Stearns Cty found something and is covering it up. They could try to test the incinerator for any dna evidence. It may be a long shot, but it could be worth it- especially if what phantom said was true about it being used on an off day.
