It looks like we won't be hearing Noor's side of the story

"According to investigators, they spoke with Harrity on Tuesday and got his account of the shooting. Noor has declined to be interviewed by BCA agents, the bureau said in a statement, adding that Noor’s attorney did not say “when, if ever, an interview would be possible.”"

Haven't read anywhere that Noor is a citizen. And what was he doing in Somalia ? According to some news sites... it's a hotbed for terrorist training.
:moo:

liet i think you may be on the wrong forum...this is not about terrorism it is about the shooting of a woman by a police officer, You clearly know nothing about the case . As i previously indicated someone on a mission here. Is this board moderated?

No he can remain silent until he is charged with a crime. It is possible with no videos etc. that he gets off here...nothing anymore surprises me.

In my neighborhood kids were shooting off firecrackers last night.
I'm not a cop but I can distinguish between gun fire and firecrackers.

i could not tell you which nights I hear firecrackers going off because it is just that common.

Hopefully his partner will tell the truth. He can't be happy that his partner shot a gun right past his own body for no reason whatsoever. Also, hopefully he is a decent human being.

From a news site that is not an approved msm site--- Elley Mae corrected my earlier post.

This was interesting :
www.smh.com.au/world/police-officer...han-two-years-experience-20170717-gxd69m.html
It has been revealed officer Noor lacked experience, having only joined the Minneapolis Police Department a little over two years ago.
Emph. mine.

I'm curious as to whether they just bypassed any basic training for him ?
Justine's death is squarely on the shoulders of the Minneapolis PD. They need to answer for this... and not hide away for three days !

On Saturday night, a police officer in Minneapolis shot a 40-year-old woman in the alley behind her house. It took until Tuesday night for officials to explain what happened.

Not right... they (LE) need to give the public an accurate answer--- when an innocent civilian is gunned down.
There's a great need for improvement in the MPD.

Same here. I never mistake them for gunshots either. Anyone who has been around guns at all knows the sound of gunfire.

Am asking questions. It's what we do on this forum...so it's the right forum for finding out the truth.
No one ever said Noor was a terrorist--- but it's good to question the possibility ; I think.
Sounds like Noor had some complaints against him.
Also -- the other concerns about him have been stated on other msm sources-- so just bringing it here at WS.

Appreciate your input as well, turaj !

We are all here to speculate why this tragedy happened. :(

It's probably not too difficult to ascertain whether Noor is actually a citizen. Could maybe check with the MPD if he holds citizenship papers.

But entirely possible he was motivated by racism -- it exists in the reverse fashion.
But maybe not, with Noor.

The main problem is that law enforcement has not cooperated with the public .... no one is satisfied that this was accidental. So what is the motive ?
First, LE said that she was behind her house, then they said she was several houses down from her own, then they said she appeared at the car and surprised them.
What is it ???

My .02 is that Noor is very problematic for whatever reason--- and no one at the MPD saw fit to train him properly .
And because of that, an innocent citizen is dead.
This was very preventable.
:moo:

What is problematic for MPD is that they had 2 rookies patrolling together imo There may be training issues as well, idk.

Wow. Sounds like you, too , lack faith in the law enforcement of Minneapolis.

My .02 is that mistakes were made that need to be changed.

Press conference last night covered training and said all involved were trained.
Liet not sure how you came up with LE needing to give answer in hours or minutes. Where did you come up with these numbers?(why not seconds)? While I want answers too, I want a thorough investigation to be conducted. Press conference also covered BCAs running of the investigation so information sharing is not directly being led by MPD.

Noor isn't talking, so this could take longer, given they are missing an input from key person involved. I'm sure they are doing what they can but it will take time.

not just complaints but a lawsuit filed July 14 one day prior to this shooting...federal lawsuit...forget the merits of that case which may not be strong...he was a troubled officer and MPD cannot tell citizens why he was still on the street...believe me not defending the MPD at all...the police chief was on vacation and can you imagine she did not return until today which was the scheduled return.

yes we all want answers now but in 2014 MPD decided not to investigate themselves but have the BCA do it...this takes more time and while it looks easy to us...just charge him I am very concerned about evidence...and now the partner is talking about ambush.

He is FROM Somalia. Of course he is a citizen. He is a cop for god sakes. And why on earth do you think he killed her because she is white??

I think you should take your opinions to the politivent thread on this case....

All I can find is that he came here at a very young age. That doesn't necessarily mean he is a citizen. Nothing says he became a citizen at 10 years old- or whatever age, though he may have. :/

did anyone read the rules for MPD posted above...theyHAVE TO BE A CITIZEN so no point in saying he might not have been.

Liet...I live in Minneapolis not far from the site of this murder...believe me I know the situation here...we just got finished with a cop walking.

  • #758
if the cop is being truthful that he feared an ambush then it seems to me he should not be in the police force. Cops need a level head and ability to judge in a split second whether or not a danger exist. Same goes for Philandro's cop that shot him, he thought Phil was reaching for a gun when in fact he was reaching for his license as requested.

Some people have no business in the law enforcement field.

Am speculating and wondering. An "ambush" sounds ludicrous .. she was in her pajamas, from what I've read.
Imo.

I have no problem hearing your opinion, either, CoolJ.
Sometimes I'm way off the point.

at the risk of sounding like Nancy Grace ..BOMBSHELL...not msm but my source has seldom been wrong here it is as he tells his friends but not LE
"Mohamed Noor has not spoken to state investigators about why he shot Justine Damond in Minneapolis on Saturday - but has given an account to friends
They have spoken to DailyMail.com and revealed his first detailed version of how he shot the bride-to-be, 40, after she called 911
Noor says she approached their police cruiser in the dark after a loud bang and that he could not tell what she was carrying, so he shot her
He was 'startled' and the cruiser's lights were off at the time, he has told friends
Noor, a Somali-born American has also said he feels isolated for his race and friend said: 'His feeling is "I am an immigrant, a Muslim and not white."'
Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension issued statement on Tuesday night revealing he had declined to be interviewed by its investigators
