The Crosby Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating 56-year-old Kelly Jo Jones, who was last seen at her residence April 25 on the 1000 block of Birch Street in Crosby.
Jones was reported missing Friday, May 3, by her roommate. Crosby Police Chief Kim Coughlin said Jones told her roommate April 25 she was leaving for the Twin Cities metro area and would be back in a few days, but she never returned. Coughlin said Jones left with a male, but the roommate did not know who he is. They drove off in a light-colored SUV.
Coughlin said the woman, who may be a vulnerable adult, has no warrants out for her and they do not believe any foul play is involved in her disappearance.
"We just want to get a hold of her to make sure she is OK," Coughlin said.
Coughlin said the police department does not have a lot of information on the Crosby woman and have been unable to find out her family's contact information.
Jones is described as 5 feet tall 7 inches, 190 pounds, with black hair and blue eyes, and has a light skin tone.
Anyone with information on Jones or her family contacts is asked to contact the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office at 218-829-4749 or the Crosby Police Department at 218-546-5137.
