UPDATED NEWS FROM 5 MINUTES AGO:

Police now say Hoffman was spotted inside the casino. That casino is a big place and is located in a semi-rural area where there's a lot of land and space. Someone then saw someone they thought was Hoffman hiding and lurking on a local residential street and snapped a cellphone pic' when Hoffman/whoever was picked up by someone in an SUV. I wonder what will happen next. This seems bizarre to me that Hoffman is staying in the area but it sounds like he hasn't had enough money to make a big getaway from this area and the state of MN. The police also say now that Hoffman likely did get some money from the bank robbery to use to gamble in the casino, trying to 'strike it rich'. http://www.kare11.com/story/news/cr...tm_medium=FeedBlitzRss&utm_campaign=kare/home

There is no other option than for this to end badly. Very badly. This is like something out of a movie.

UPDATE FROM 1 HR. AGO: HOFFMAN HAS BEEN LAUNDERING SOME OF THE RED-DYE STAINED MONEY HE GOT FROM THE BANK ROBBERY. HOFFMAN WAS SEEN IN THE CASINO AND IN THE BRUSH/WOODED AREA JUST OUTSIDE THE CASINO

Casinos are property of Native American Indians and have their own law enforcement. Hoffman was seen in the casino 2 days ago so police were staking it out in cooperation with the Indians. Hoffman was sighted in the casino again (not positive on that - something along those lines), and so they called in S.W.A.T. and helicopters and were setting up the perimeter. One of the 1st responding police officers spotted Hoffman peeking out from the edge of woods. The officer yelled 'stop' but Hoffman ran and eluded capture again. Police are emphatic that someone is helping Hoffman, but the matter of the SUV picking up Hoffman yesterday was a mistake. Police believe Hoffman likely used some bank robbery money to take a taxi to the casino and went to the casino in order to launder some of the bank robbery money he got. Police also now say that Hoffman has used some of the bank robbery money in Blaine, which is the northern suburban area where Hoffman has been believed to be hiding (and is the locale of the bank he robbed, and near to the site of the murder, too). http://www.startribune.com/local/south/273757941.html

I am not understanding how he can keep getting away. I thought that if a person runs in the woods, some sort of tracking dog would be able to locate him? And what about heat sensors in those helicopters which can detect people in wooded areas or other places? I have the feeling Hoffman must be staying in a private home, but of someone who just does not have money - Hoffman has been in hiding for 21 days now. Hoffman would need a safe place to get sleep, to eat food, take showers.

Police also say Hoffman has not used his own cell phone or credit cards and has totally cut off from his family.

One thing I haven't mentioned: I feel sure that Hoffman blames his former lover (the man he murdered) for all of his past and present problems, for ruining his life, for holding him down, for causing him to 'need' to murder the former love, for causing him to 'need' to rob a bank, blah, blah, blah.

A wanted poster now sits on the front desk of America's Best Value Inn and Suites in Shakopee...

Three ink-stained $20 bills turned up at the hotel Wednesday; two in the hotel bar and one in the cash register at the front desk...

Investigators have pored over the hotel's surveillance tapes but so far, nothing of note has come up matching Hoffman's description.

Thanks, Okie ! I did not see that particular article and articles I did see did not name the hotel. I was out running errands this morning and people are really shocked at how brazen this Hoffman is! IMO he sounds like an addict: Gambling addict, alcoh@@ic, and likely a lot more addictions and compulsions and obsessions. People are astounded that he's been out spending the bank robbery money, at the big local casino, at a hotel, likely spending money at fast food places and what not.

I do not know how to copy pictures here, but there are photos of the permanently red-dyed money, and there is a new photo from some store's surveillance of Hoffman apparently out shopping (for what? shaving cream ? scissors to trim his beard? some Jodi Arias-style hair dye, for sure ((for both his hair and his beard!)), one of those Flobees to cut his hair different ways, a new baseball cap or two, the basic criminal's big roll of duct tape, plastic tarp...). The police/sheriff says it's some sort of store like a Target or Walmart or Best Buy. I do not recognize what store it is---I know it's not a Target or Walmart, and I've only been to one Best Buy locally and I know it's not that one: Maybe somebody else here knows, please !

Because there's a $25,000 reward now, I found myself looking around, 'Is that him? Could that guy be Hoffman?' lol:thinking: Sheriff's updated the Wanted poster: http://bringmethenews.com/2014/09/06/search-for-ty-hoffman-dyed-money-found-new-image-released/

I think the Sheriff should alert the Flobee company that if anyone orders one online from Minnesota, it's likely Hoffman (imo): http://www.flowbee.com/:jail:

http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2014/09/06/employees-at-shakopee-hotel-believe-they-spotted-hoffman/

There was a massive search earlier this week after Hoffman was spotted at Mystic Lake. Police believe someone is helping him avoid being caught.

Just moments after Hoffman was spotted at Mystic Lake Casino on Tuesday, employees at the America’s Best Value Inn and Suites down the road believe they saw him inside their hotel.

“We do believe there was the suspect and another individual walking through the hotel corridor,” Americas Best Value Inn and Suites manager, Laura Ellingson, said... So far, police have said the surveillance video from the hotel is difficult to use as evidence, as it isn’t very clear video.

What I find odd about that article is that the hotel where Hoffman and the person helping him looks like a relatively new hotel (and located near a big, big casino). You'd think there'd be clear cameras at all entries and in the bar. I find it odd that they say the video is 'not clear'.

I also wonder who it is who's hiding Hoffman!! I am guessing it's a Blaine, MN area resident who doesn't have much money but has a home. I also wonder how it is that Hoffman must know the man and no one else who knows/knew Hoffman has any idea who the man is.

Since Hoffman was able to evade a whole S.W.A.T. team & helicopter search by the casino (when a first-arriving police officer saw Hoffman in the woods, yelled 'stop' and Hoffman took off running in the woods), it would seem Hoffman and the man who is helping Hoffman both much have cell phones on them that they use to talk to eachother. http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2014/09/06/employees-at-shakopee-hotel-believe-they-spotted-hoffman/

TY HOFFMAN, SUSPECTED MURDERER/BANK ROBBER APPREHENDED
(2 mins. ago)
The update states Hoffman was arrested at an Arby's near the big casino that is just south of the downtown Minneapolis area: http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/stor...rrested-in-shakopee-minn#.VBHLbrdoQgU.twitter My guess is that Hoffman's been successful at picking up fast food all this time, and a clerk noticed him and his 'red stained' bank robbery money. I think that because you would think police would not want to put others at risk in the arrest, imo: http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/stor...rrested-in-shakopee-minn#.VBHLbrdoQgU.twitter

Update (1 min. ago)
So this article says the local police have confirmed the arrest. This Hoffman was so incredibly dangerous to be on the loose (murder including 'point blank' gunshot to the man's head as he pleaded for his life, and then robbing some poor 20'something year old girl bank teller at gunpoint less than a week later!!). I thought he was still around here. Will someone please post his mugshot - I imagine we will get that very quick. (I don't know how to paste pictures here... :-) ) I am curious to see what his face looked like at the time of the arrest ! http://www.kaaltv.com/article/stories/S3558280.shtml?cat=10151

Here's a map of where Hoffman was arrested. Across the street, mmmm (imho) White Castle, and behind White Castle was a SuperWalmart ! A SuperWalmart would be a good safe place to be sleeping, I'd think - no security people hassling you or anything like that !! Also, the casino hotel, which apparently is quite huge and full of gambling options, was just a short stroll down the street: https://www.google.com/maps/place/A...ata=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x9d92ae7e48858cc9

UPDATED INFO' (5 mins. ago)
This article says Hoffman was in a mall, and it also says Hoffman was arrested 'in' Arby's. So who knows exactly what happened and how. One thing for sure, tho', imo I am guessing that as this unfolds Hoffman will be looking on-the-angry-side when we see photos and video of him now. IMO Hoffman very likely feels that HE is the innocent 'victim' in all of this (i.e., 'my lover/man I'm creeping with CAUSED me to get so mad I snapped and murdered him, and that also CAUSED me to go rob a bank with a gun...') I bet that's the way Hoffman sees all of this. http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2014/09/11/shakopee-police-say-theyve-arrested-ty-hoffman/
