MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ― A Minneapolis man pleaded guilty to murdering his wife -- a graduate student at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design -- last June.

Matthew L. Gretz was had been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Kira Simonian, 32.

A man accused of brutally murdering his art student wife in Minneapolis last year was sentenced to 25 years in prison Monday afternoon in a Hennepin County Court room.

Matthew Gretz is available for supervised release after 2/3 of that sentence is served.
