Trevino Trial: Expert Testimony on Kira's Car
Kira Steger's white Chevy Cobalt was the focus of this morning's testimony in the Jeffery Trevino murder trial. It was investigated by St. Paul police on Feb. 25, three days after she went missing.
Messages from Jeff to Kira:
"You make it?"
"Your phone die on you?"
"Please don't do this again"
The last 2 ones are a bit less clear. This is what I am able to read:
"Please set a ...... we are all worried"

Oller,
Here's a link from one of the articles that addressed this (St Paul Star Tribune-May 15th):
http://www.startribune.com/local/stpaul/207433081.html
snipped: "Steger, also known as Kira Trevino, but whose legal last name remained Steger after her marriage, exchanged numerous text *messages that night with the Maple Grove man, who was out of town, according to an amended complaint filed in Ramsey County District Court"
St. Paul police officer William Haider testified late Monday morning that the lights in Jeffery Trevino and Kira Stegers home turned on and off throughout the early morning hours of Feb. 22, the day Steger went missing.
A surveillance camera on a neighbors property four to five houses away captured lights flickering on and off for varying intervals between about 1:20 a.m. and about 2 a.m., and then resuming again between 4:11 a.m. and about 5:30 a.m., Haider testified. Prosecutors previously presented evidence that a car matching Stegers vehicle was fueled shortly after 2 a.m. and turned left on Larpenteur Avenue toward Interstate 35E instead of turning right, the quickest way to their house in the 500 block of Iowa Avenue E.
