We saw similar with RC's trial, JM didn't have the deposition SV gave to LE, Mehrens just plopped it on his table on day 2 or 3. I found that really odd. But JM didn't throw a fit over it, I guess since SV was his own witness. lol

One or two of the tweets talked like the defendant Trevino was going to, not sure if that is definite though. Otherwise I haven't heard. I did hear about the 50 witness's and the PT hasn't had that many.

I predict it should be over early next week.

Unless they have alibi witnesses, what else could they possibly present? Oh yes, a horde of people trashing the victim of a horrible homicide through the mud. Because she was evil and was having an affair and didn't love him anymore Na Na Na Na. Just wait and see. Or read.

Chiquita I always wonder in case's like these what the defendant's were thinking. I didn't mean to hurt her officer, she just got in the way.

Seriously how do people think they can get away with killing someone. I think this is a pretty cut and dry case. jmo

And it's such a nightmare for every woman. (Men too, but you know what I mean.) Relationships end, and you never know, no matter how decent the person is, if they are going to accept it and grieve and move on, or if they are going to snap and give in to animal nature.

Which of course is an insult to animals. :/

Completely agree. Even the ones you would never even think. I had a boyfriend back in my undergraduate days, sweet little thing, cute as a button, didn't smoke, didn't drink, smooch of a kid. Fats forward to 2003 or so, I am teaching in Canada and get the news. He murdered his wife in a truly horrifying way. I was aghast. Even after all these years, I cried for days. Then I accepted it. The most beautiful boy I had ever been with had murdered the woman he married. Horrible.

Marcie Steger turned away from the projection screen as several autopsy photos of her daughter were presented in court Wednesday morning, the fifth day of testimony in the murder trial of her son-in-law, Jeffery Trevino.

The Ramsey County medical examiner, Dr. Michael McGee, testified that Steger’s daughter Kira was killed by homicidal violence and that she could have been smothered by someone’s hand or a pillow.

Trevino, 39, faces two counts of second-degree murder in Ramsey County District Court for allegedly killing Kira Steger, 30. She was last seen alive on Feb. 21, and her body was recovered on May 8 from the Mississippi River.

I always think they say they will bring more witnesses than they do in the end, depending how testimony goes?

Yes and in these kind of case's what can the defense bring to the table. Makes you wonder what the defense is thinking about their client.

Doesn't sound to me like the defense will be calling any witness's, unless Trevino decide's to testify.
