Father is Lester Herman, and MP is Lester Loran, for future reference.

Nothing in newspaperarchives either. I wonder if he was just reported? Namus case was created in January this year.

There's so much more information I want! What did he study? Did he live on campus? Who first noticed he was missing? What happened on the last day he was seen? He was reported missing fairly recently it seems, so someone out there is looking. I hope they come and join us here.

18th April 1971 was a Sunday by the way, so he hadn't been in classes that day.

His face looks so familiar and distinctive, have I seen this face on a UID?!

I could not find an old academic calendar online, but when I was in college (not his university though) in the 1980s, spring break was not over Easter. Easter wasn't even a long weekend - classes were held on Friday before and Monday after.

In the 4/17/1970 West Central Tribune newspaper in Willmar, MN, Lester Petry is listed for Grade 12 A Honor Roll Atwater High School.


In the 6/2/1970 West Central Tribune newspaper in Willmar, MN, they reported that Lester Petry received the Atwater Faculty Scholarship.

He was of the calibur to receive a faculty scholarship. I can find some indicators of small home life issues but really nothing of any substance that would indicate a reason for disappearance related to family. The most odd thing is that his home town newspaper never reported him as being missing.
