OR maybe his attorney advised him not to answer any questions or even be interviewed by LE, so there is no "his story"
I’ll have to go back and look to verify. But in his statement, the attorney said he has been very cooperative. Has sat down with LE five times or something to that effect. So I’m sure he has given them a story, which may be part of the problem with clearing him MOO.

We are going to be focusing on three main areas this weekend for all those who want to help us continue to search for Madeline on foot.
Our main focus at this time is going to be the shorelines of the Mississippi River, since we’re expecting the waters to rise very quickly in the coming days.
Following that, we have a search area on the border of Winona and Fillmore counties.

Lastly, we’d like to ask for volunteers to search on foot search the Trempaleau wildlife refuge.
• PLEASE ASK LANDOWNERS PERMISSION BEFORE SEARCHING THEIR PRIVATE PROPERTIES •
It’s officially turkey hunting season PLEASE wear a vest, we have vests available at the Riverport Inn in Winona.

If we run out there please let us know so we can get more dropped off!
We also ask that ANYONE searching or not keep your eyes out in ditches when driving in the Winona, Fillmore, Houston County areas.
This is the same for lakes, rivers, and creeks.

We want to apologize formally for the delay in information, we are NOT professionals. There’s really not a guidebook on how to organize any of this. We’re just a group of Madeline’s friends that desperately want to bring her home!

We are doing our best and cannot thank you enough for all of your patience and support during this difficult time.

We’ve created a block of rooms thanks to the kindness of the Riverport Inn, at a discounted rate for those of you traveling from out of town, just mention Madeline Kingsbury.
Let’s bring our girl home,

Very telling, IMHO.

To anyone who can help:
I'm not understanding the purpose of laws that focus on an ROP being used when two bio parents live with the children full-time. Would marriage have conveyed custodial rights to this father? It's good that MN law addresses parental rights but are children really more likely to be protected by these laws?

Also, if the children are in state custody, do we know if they are staying with family or with strangers (foster parents)?

TIA & MOO
I'm confused reading this article. Are the children physically in Child custody Services or is he still refusing to turn them over?

Kingsbury's children in custody of Winona County Health and Human Services officials

  • Winona County Health and Human Services officials have custody of Maddi's children.
  • Earlier this month, the Winona Police Department notified County Health and Human Services that a 72-hour hold would be placed on the children.
  • Adam Fravel does not have custody, which meant the kids had no legal decision-maker in their mother’s absence.
  • The children were located at Fravel’s parents’ house April 4 when law enforcement and social workers enacted the 72-hour hold.
  • The child in need of protective services petition, filed April 6, states Fravel eventually brought the children outside to the vehicle.
  • “Father was unwilling to gather belongs for the children therefore the children left the home with only the clothes they were wearing,” the court filing states.
  • Winona County Health and Human Services will determine the access Fravel and family members have to the children.
  • A pretrial date is set for May 15 with the children’s custody trial set to be June 6-7.

Correcting myself - "including sitting down for multiple interviews with Winona County law enforcement".

I'm catching up and haven't read posts down thread so I apologize if this has been discussed. Does AF have a pilot's license or own a plane?? If so a flight plan has to be filed, right or not???
Refer to this post for plane info possibly related to AF. MN - MN - Madeline Jane Kingsbury, 26, mother of 2, Winona 31 Mar 2023

A few things I have discovered after listening to her sister on Nancy Grace and doing a little digging.

Megan said Maddie's routine was to drop the kids off and go in to work. That to me sounds like she actually goes to work. There is a Mayo Clinic in Winona and Maddie's LinkedIn Page lists her at Mayo, Winona. It is located 4 miles (8 minutes) from her house, making much more sense than driving to Rochester. It was her initial understanding that she usually dropped the kids off alone but she had recently learned both parents sometimes dropped them off together as well as picked them up. that almost sounds like 2 people who carpool.

I know she sent a goofy text at 8:15A to Megan but we don't know where she was at that time or if she actually sent the text. There was a report that stated her "roommate" saw her at 8:15A at the house; however I think roommate is another term for AF like husband, partner, ex-boyfriend, father of children are. I wish reporters could get on the same page and use the same term. AF also said he left at 10:00 and she was at home.

Megan also said AF was living with her but that the relationship was over or ending. The house is only 2 bedrooms so that is interesting.

He came home with her van at 1:30 and she wasn't there. If he lived there you would assume he stayed home.

He picked up the kids from daycare so obviously, he knew she was "missing" and had to have noticed her phone and purse were there and he must have had a car to pick them up in. It speaks volumes that he didn't reach out to Megan or her family to see if they heard from her and why did her family call her friends but not him if he was living in the same house? I wonder where he and the kids were that Friday night.

I also wonder how they KNOW she didn't leave on foot or with someone in another car. Obviously, she left her phone and personal stuff but they said she was wearing furry boots could she have walked to a neighbor's house? I don't think this happened but since LE isn't saying much I find it odd that they keep saying this as fact.

I know they aren't arresting him or naming him as a POI I'm guessing it is because of him having the kids until
CPS took them and they were protecting them and they may only have a bunch of circumstantial evidence and it is hard to keep him if they don't have something.

I really hope they find her soon. Perhaps his family knows something and will speak out.
Winona is about an hour drive from Mayo Clinic- Rochester. During covid, many non-direct patient care positions were moved to telework (working from home). With two small children and living in Winona, a commute that long every day would be tedious. I used to make that commute 3+ times a week before I even had kids and it wasn't great.

(ABC 6 News) – A search party for Madeline Kingsbury is being delayed today.

According to a Find Madeline Kingsbury Facebook post, they are delaying horseback searches due to the incoming weather. They say they want all search party members to be safe. Adding that the terrain they plan to search is tough for search parties on foot and horseback.

Instead, they will focus on searching three main areas this weekend: Including the shoreline of the Mississippi River, areas near the border of Winona and Fillmore counties, and at the Trempaleau wildlife refuge.

Search part organizers also want to remind people to please ask landowners permission before searching their private properties and make sure to wear orange since turkey season is in full swing.

That's exactly what Brian Walsh's attorney said. Made it sound like a hardship for which he should be praised.

Thinking of Maddi and her children tonight. I wish the three of them were together again somewhere safe.

While we await additional developments I am comforting myself with this list of information LE likely has or will have soon:
  1. Maddi's vehicle with accompanying GPS and other data and potential evidence from within vehicle
  2. Maddi's phone with data
  3. Evidence from Maddi's home
  4. Video surveillance evidence
  5. Interview results from friends, family, acquaintances and potential witnesses
  6. Phone and data from possible additional parties
  7. Computer data from Maddi's home
  8. Results from any other residence(s) or location(s) associated with any possible search warrants
And much more that I've missed.

I believe LE has a strong theory of what happened and is guarding the information closely. I hope Maddi will be found safely. If she isn't, I trust this capable LE team is building a case for justice behind the scenes and we'll soon receive a break/arrest update.

MOO
