Search underway for missing St. Charles woman

St. Charles Police are asking for help in finding a missing 88-year-old woman last seen Monday.

Patricia Poole was reported missing Wednesday afternoon by family.

Police said that she was last seen Monday afternoon a few blocks from her residence at 1224 East Avenue in St. Charles.

She was seen walking north on Bluff Avenue.

At the time, she was wearing a white coat, black shoes, and carrying a black handbag.

St. Charles Police Chief Ken Frank is asking people in St. Charles and the surrounding area to check their property including out buildings, garages, vacant vehicles, or any other normally obstructed area.

Frank said police, fire department members, public works, and ambulance personnel will continue to search residential areas including private property.

Jeepers, she has been gone all week already! Hope she is somewhere safe. Lived in MN my entire life and have never been to St. Charles. I assume it is a rather small community.

Officials say Poole enjoys walking around the town, “Normally she likes to go for walks and uh shes been known to walk downtown to the grocery store, to the local convenience market,” said St. Charles Police Chief Ken Frank.

Chief Frank said the investigation thus far does not show foul play involved. He is worried though, “There’s some concern as to how far she could make it because of her age.”

The last sighting of Poole is confirmed to be Monday, March 25th, “There was an individual out walking his dog that knew the lady that is missing and recognized her,” said Chief Frank.
