^sbm Everyday Grace - Thanks for above informative quote & link. Good source & relevant to this thread about
MN law & event, more so than posts about other states' laws or what ppl think they are.
No snarc, no sarc. TYVM.
I've read county or st officials contacted by MSM re permit did
not verify if Mr C had a carry permit. Sorry, no link. Any
further info from co or st officials on this?
IDK whether Mr C did or did not have a MN carry permit.
If no carry permit, then a handgun in his pocket, in pants waistband, etc. (if that's where it was) would not have been a lawful method of carry, per below.*
Another point: per below,** if asked by LEO,
person must disclose whether carrying a firearm.
Lastly per below,*** when carrying handgun and if asked by LEO, a person must
display carry permit and valid DL, st ID, or govt issued photo ID. Based on his citations list, doubting if he had MN DL. May or may not have other acceptable ID. IDK
Overall pic imo: since 2002 Mr C has not been attentive to 'details' like valid DL, auto ins, selt belt usage, complying w traffic laws, etc. Not saying that merits being shot by LEO. Just wondering if he had carry permit.
Was Mr C c
omplying w officer's requests for DL, etc., or was he
drawing gun? IDK. Awaiting more facts.
