Maybe I'm posting too much, but I'm from Minnesota. There is an online full face family photo from 2022 when he ran for election. In fact, there are several family photos. The older son (in 2022) looks to be around 14 back then, making him around 16+ now. Second oldest son maybe would be maybe 14/15 now? Two daughters... would probably also understand what their father did.

I cannot imagine how these kids are now going to school each day. Hopefully, they are going online for education.

yes, not only did he attempt to get together with what he thought was a minor but he has harmed his own children by that act. I feel for his family. They don't deserve to be in the harsh glare of the ugly spotlight this man created around them.

What the heck? Why did she help him? Bizarre unless he didn't tell her what happened. She was definitely quick on the divroce filing.

Certainly it seems that his sons at least are in their mid teens, often a difficult age for young lads coming to terms with their place in the world, their own sexual stuff, deciding on a career, etcetera. The very last thing they need is their own father acting in this disgusting manner, and all in the glare of a national spotlight. Did he never realise the great responsibility that comes with parenthood, not only teaching them manners and morals, but also being a good example in behaviour.

And if I were his wife, I don't think I would have been talking to and helping him like the good wifey she has probably always been. If it had come as a complete shock to me, I might have softened a bit after a while, but not at first. Which leads me to think that she wasn't completely surprised. MOO

It is a difficult situation. After all, he is probably the main source of income. So, it is "Catch 22". If you don't help him, he lands in prison, there goes the money.

I live in Minnesota. Grand Rapids is a good 75 miles from Duluth. I would not call that close.

And who in Grand Rapids wants him anyway? Not his uncle who owns a store that's being targeted. Certainly not his wife who's divorcing him. Definitely not voters. Grand Rapids, MN is quite small - about 10,000 population. You can bet he won't just be walking around the town.

It's close by northern Minnesota standards!

I have a feeling the kids have always been "home schooled" because their parents didn't want them exposed to people unlike them, or t(he)y didn't want outsiders finding out what their home life was really like.

It is not always that easy. If he goes to prison, the money tree is over. Mama may have to go to work, get a job...the lifestyle of being married to a United States Senator is over.

He made a plea of not guilty. I also suspect that the case isn't on the county docket because it was a Federal charge.

Judge said he must stay in a half-way house until next court case. That's in Duluth, 75 miles from his hometown in Grand Rapids. Bets are he might not want to show up in his hometown.

Asked to have federal charges dismissed because it's a vendetta against him as a state legislator at time of accusation. Says he would have received only probation as a state charge because he had no criminal record. However, several others involved were federally charged. Also asked that evidence in his apartment be supressed - saying it was an illegal search.

He is permitted to visit his children under supervision. Why would they (teens) even want to see him? No idea if he has had visits.
