Found Deceased MN - Steven Dale Row, 50, Paynesville, 23 May 2019 *Also Wanted by Police

Paynesville Police are asking for public help in locating a missing man who is also wanted on a criminal warrant.

Steven Dale Row was last seen by neighbors leaving his residence in his work truck on May 23. The 50-year-old is currently entered as a missing person, but also has a warrant out for his arrest on first degree criminal sexual conduct charges.

Family members and authorities are concerned for his welfare as prior to leaving the residence Row appears to have been searching for information on committing suicide.

Row is described as a white male, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 190 pounds, with brown eyes, gray receding hair and a goatee/beard. He is likely wearing glasses. Row was driving a blue 2005 Chevrolet 2500 HD pickup, Minnesota License Plate MAE592.

This is confusing, there are several reports that say he was arrested and there is even an obituary. How is he then missing in June?

A missing Central Minnesota man accused of a sex crime is dead.

According to court records filed on Friday, charges have been dismissed against 50-year-old Steven Dale Row because he is deceased.

Court documents didn’t say how or when he died. An obituary for Row stated he died May 23rd near Grove City.

Police stated he searched for information on suicide before leaving.

Prosecutors were seeking an aggravated sentenced and he could have been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

His wife, 55-year-old Stacy Lee Row, is also facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting the 13-year-old girl with him in July 2017.

She’s facing a presumptive prison sentence of 12 years if convicted.
