Looks like Darrell Rea was released back in May. Convicted of raping and murdering 17-year old Laurie Mesedah, and served less than 5 years.

I think for Vicky it all started when the police didn't take her disappearance seriously enough and didn't dedicate resources to her because she was a teenager and could have run away (despite all the evidence to the contrary)...
Then there were the years when the police wanted to investigate Rea for Vicky's murder but were blocked by the prosecutor's office... They weren't allowed to release Rea's name as a possible suspect (because they were so protective of them). She carried on living her life for almost 30 years...
Not to mention the women Rea was linked to through DNA didn't exactly get justice... Rea never faced charges for the rapes of Mary-Scott and Barbara... As for Lorri... I mean, only 10 years in prison for the rape and murder of a teenager is just ridiculous...
This man is clearly not going to be rehabilitated... He should never be allowed out of prison... scum of this world and a rotten system...
