ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – The Rochester Police Department (RPD) is investigating a missing man in the Byron and Rochester area.

According to RPD, 39-year-old Wade Gordon Jr. of Rochester was last seen leaving his job in Byron at Ornua Ingredients on July 7 around 2 a.m.

He was reported missing on July 8 by the mother of his children. She said it was unlike him to go off the radar and their family is concerned for his safety.

Gordon is described as a white man, 5′10″, 155 lbs, brown hair and green eyes.

His vehicle was located at Ornua Ingredients with no personal belongings inside.

If you have any information, you can contact RPD at 507-328-6800.

Wade Gordon Jr., of Rochester, was last seen at his job in Byron at Ornua Ingredients on Thursday evening for an overnight shift, according to his sister, Amy Raffety.

Raffety also says that Gordon’s boss saw him when he arrived at work.

According to RPD officials, police are in the early stages in searching for the father of five.

Raffety says Gordon has never just taken off or gone this long without talking to his children.

That conclusion doesn’t compute for me.

Is the phone at work? In his car? At home? Where is it? You either know where it is, or you don’t. And if you don’t know, then ‘he took it with him’ is a reasonable assumption.

(ABC 6 News) – The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says a body has been found in tall grass behind Byron City Hall.

Just over a week ago, we learned of the disappearance of Wade Gordon, Junior. He was last seen on July 6 walking away from Ornua Ingredients in Byron which is just under three miles from city hall. His family and friends were at the scene, but, once again, police have not identified the man who died.

Oruna Ingredients is only a 7 min drive away or a 50 min walk. Small place, I'm thinking this will be him :'( - just speculation.

So sad. I wonder what the strange noise was. ?

ALL MOO

Confirmed to be Wade Gordon :(

BYRON, Minn. - The medical examiner said Tuesday that the body found in a retention pond behind city hall is that of Wade Gordon, age 39.

Per this article Wade was seen smashing his phone.

I wonder why it took so long for the person reporting the suspicious noise to call LE? In the end his family has an answer although not what they hoped for.

This still really bothers me. The pond is really quite close to the road. I've passed it dozens of times. Never gave it a thought so I never would have noticed anything unusual. I also have wondered if the reporting party didn't realize there was a missing person in the area and wrote off the usual noise as animals or whatever. Once the possible connection was made then the call was placed. Just an all around sad situation.
