Missing Bloomington man sought after belongings discovered

Police in Bloomington are asking for help from the public in locating a missing young man after some of his possessions were found in a remote nature area on the Minnesota River.

Assistant Chief Mike Hartley says William Brask was reported missing Sunday after someone walking in the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge found personal items and clothing belonging to him. Bloomington Police searched the refuge for several hours with help from the Minnesota State Patrol helicopter, but did not find the 24-year-old Brask.

Man missing near Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge in Bloomington

The family had contact with him on Saturday night per the above linked article. He was reported missing on Sunday. I wonder what prompted the quick missing person report? I'm hoping he's not a threat to himself. Car located near the visitor center for the wildlife refuge.
