"A witness to the incident, Emily Heller, told local media that the victim was shot in the face multiple times. Heller said she saw a car blocking traffic that appeared to be part of a protest against the ICE operation, and heard an agent telling the driver, a woman, to “get out of here”.

“She was trying to turn around, and the ICE agent was in front of her car, and he pulled out a gun and put it right in – like his midriff was on her bumper – and he reached across the hood of the car and shot her in the face like three, four times,” Heller told MPR News, a Minneapolis public radio station."

DHS claims self defense, but there is video of the incident that doesn't seem back that up, IMO. I didn't post the video because it's violent, but it is linked in the article if you want to see it.

I happened to be watching news and very 'fortunate' to see the Mayor speak live and NOT have his angry words blurbed out. He was so furious with excellent reason, the spin. We knew right off, I did, that there would be a huge attempt at a SPIN. Lots of witnesses, cameras going. That speaker woman who dresses up to suit the background and her story out in 'the wild' came on as a 'sherriffy' looking person, instantly spewed her BS from Texas somewhere, AS A FACT AND END OF STORY. Anyone seeing the immediate position of the car, as told by a witness, and the immediate area around it, can see, NO NEED for anyone to shoot right into the driver side windshield, low. I saw the bullet hole in the seat as well.. a graphic scene, but it is vid that may NOT be shown as the minutes go by with this admin. This was a 'white woman' that I believe said to be 30 something. IMO

Yes, and from the video, it appears one officer tells her to leave as another begins yanking on her door. These officers seem disorganized and that may have confused the driver. I don’t believe Tricia McLaughlin that she ‘weaponized her vehicle’ - I saw the video myself. She was trying to leave. What a mess.

Also, if he was in grave danger, why did he approach the vehicle after shooting her? Not to help her - we see him flee the scene.

WHO do people think these 'thousands' of ICE people ARE??? These instapolice? Armed and protected all over themselves roaming the streets and cities? WHO are their 'direct supervisors'? Do not ever think this group is formed as your State Police or local police are, regular military member... NO, they are not, they were and are being advertised and signed up based on what? (Not that our state police, as we have seen nor local police, can be stable and decent and law abiding themselves at ALL in instances). IMO

Prosecutors had accused Marimar Martinez and another defendant of ramming their cars into a federal vehicle in October. Her legal team argued it was federal agents who rammed her.
