MN -- woman shot in face and killed by ICE, Minneapolis, 7 Jan 2026

  • #401
I was just listening to a former agent on Laura Coates on CNN who is very concerned that the whole scene was cleared out within two hours. The vehicles were removed, all the ICE agents left, no one interviewed eyewitnesses (meaning LE). Usually, when a homicide occurs the scenes are locked for hours on end while LE and forensics go through the scene. Just reeks of lack of training, cover up, fear, getting their stories straight. Unbelievably unprofessional.

JMO.

It's like some grim variant of the Rorschach test.

Either you watch the video and believe your own eyes, or you watch the video and believe Trump and Noem saying that she ran over the ICE officer and he's recovering in the hospital.

was this woman protesting or did she just turn down a blocked street? It is lucky she did not kill anyone else as she lost consciousness and crashed. Her son is now without any parent as her husband died young. https://www.startribune.com/she-was...fies-woman-shot-killed-by-ice-agent/601559922 I guess more information about her will be reported soon. Noem said the officer who did the shooting was previously hit and dragged by a car in June. https://thehill.com/homenews/state-...polis-shooting-bashes-city-and-state-leaders/
It's being reported that she lived there in the neighborhood.
One woman who was on video saying "they murdered my neighbor" or something to that effect.
IMO.

You confuse me when you say open passenger window. Are you talking about the window behind the driver in the backseat? Otherwise, I didn’t see any agents on the passenger side of the vehicle. TIA.

ETA this question is in response to @Oakland CA post 357. Thanks

I haven't seen anything about blocking the roadway either, but perhaps someone will find the quote we all missed.

There is wrong info out there. For example, Noem said the weather was bad and a vehicle was stuck and officers were trying to push it out, but the road looks clear and the weather was mild in Minneapolis today.

Her quote: "They got stuck in the snow because of the adverse weather that is in Minneapolis. They were attempting to push out their vehicle and a woman attacked them and those surrounding them and attempted to run them over and ram them with her vehicle."

Even though it was a sunny clear day in Minneapolis, you can see that there is snow from previous days. That snow can still cause someone to get stuck or slide on the roads. Just saying.

Don't see anything in there like psychological testing.
Good point. No psychological evaluation. Hand some masked thugs guns with inadequate training and give them carte blanch to shoot people in a residential neighborhood. What could possibly go wrong?

IMO

Exactly! I bet they get no psychological testing during their "training" and I bet there's more than a handful of those agents who have bad intentions and are just looking for a power trip and a reason to push people around without getting in legal trouble. Oh and also get the chance to shoot a woman in the face and have the actual president defend your murderous act!

MOO

I hope everyone understands that the moron is damaged goods. Sadly, this is not going to bring back a seemingly very nice and likable woman.

Maybe read this, it might help

Thank you for sharing.

Genuinely so sad a murdered woman is having her character smeared across the Internet, including people mocking her for being interested in poetry. And crazy that people will say we need more devoted parents in this country, but then mock a murder victim for being a SAHM. She sounded like a completely normal and respectable person.

The depths we have fallen into in this country, truly.

The agents didn’t get stuck in the snow, but Good got stuck in ICE. :(

Trump said the ICE agent is recovering in hospital. Funny he wasn’t injured whatsoever and was seen walking after he killed this poor woman.
Recovery from what? An attack of conscience? MOO

Like it or not they are federal agents and that get out of the car was the lawful order.
Some “lawful order.” That was a straight out execution. MOO

BTW, they do have a school on that street. I don’t know what age. It is a residential area.

Not true, as a US citizen federal agents do have authority over her and you. When you don't comply and then drive straight toward an agent you are going to get shot. It's not nice, sweet, and sugary but it’s real life. She has the right to protest but she doesn't have the right to obstruction of government, and she surely didn't have the right to run over someone.
In what galaxy is this “obstruction of justice?” MOO

BBC reported that there was later an ICE raid at a school about 3 miles away.
Business as usual. imo

According to Minnesota Public Radio, US Border Patrol officers entered a public school property about three miles from the shooting, where they tackled people, and made arrests using pepper spray.

Photos show agents making arrests in the snow. The incident occurred just as school was letting out for the day.

"Protests have been ongoing in several parts of the city, according to reports, with the main gathering happening near the scene of Wednesday's fatal shooting at East 34th Street and Portland Avenue.

A makeshift vigil, displaying flowers and candles, is laid near the snow there, as protesters chant slogans and deliver speeches condemning the police shooting.

The Minneapolis Star-Tribune newspaper reports that hundreds of people have gathered at the site, including a group of clergy who sang hymns."
