CBS News watched bystander video of the deadly ICE shooting in Minneapolis frame-by-frame with retired ICE agent Eric Balliet to discuss the tactics used. He raised a few key points that dispute the DHS narrative of what happened.

“Another aspect of the video Balliet commented on was the placement of the officers. Video shows three officers near the vehicle, two to the side and one directly in front of the vehicle.

"I don't understand the tactical or law enforcement advantage of someone on foot in front of a moving, running or occupied vehicle. You're almost inducing a shooting if that person decides to flee," he said.”

He wasn’t until her turned the wheel to the right, before they were turned left.

Note that I said "Hit, but not knocked off his feet" .

Though people can use the term "run over" to mean many different things, I would not consider being hit but not knocked off his feet to have been "run over".

I think The Guardian says it succinctly ... (emphasis is mine).


That moment of the clip is consistent with other videos in circulation that show the agent get SLIGHTLY BRUSHED by the car, which was moving so slowly that the officer was able to easily retain his balance.

Feds in ski masks seen taking belongings from the ICE shooter's home

The Daily Mail witnessed armed federal agents swarming the empty home of ICE shooter Jonathan Ross to retrieve his belongings, with some agents confronting reporters on the scene.

Also, seems like he may have argued with a family member and defended Proud Boys on Facebook.

“Other family members appear to have had conflict with Ross over their political views – even arguing with him about far-right group the Proud Boys, after Donald Trump caused controversy by initially failing to condemn the group in a 2020 debate with Joe Biden.

His sister Nicole posted a photo on Facebook in October 2020 of herself and a female friend wearing face masks with the caption 'I denounce and condemn white supremacy'.

Ross appears to have commented on the photo then later deleted the messages, with Dolson and her friend Allison's responses the only comments remaining.

'Jon R Oss the Proud Boys heard his denouncement loud and clear! I watched the entire debate and heard every word. I respectfully disagree,' wrote Allison.

'Jon R Oss we have to respectfully disagree,' Nicole added. 'You are my brother and I love you, but we will not engage in a debate on Facebook.”

So, his sister posted she stands against white supremacy, and he was arguing with her. Lovely.

Knew they were mainly all proud boys. Recruited, networked, not forgetting KKK and all those kind. Who else ? IMO

Why would she have been frightened at that point? Nobody was trying to get into her car or pointing a gun at her then!

They only tried to open the door when she did not obey their commands to get out.

Likewise I only saw them point a weapon at her- and immediately fire it after she accelerated towards an officer- though I am very sure there are other interpretations).

All the above aside, she left with out even waiting for the passenger to get back in the car. Accelerating a car towards an officer while afraid, or unafraid is a bad idea.

But, yes, I think she was un nerved (frightened) by an escalating situation she never fully signed up for and wanted out.

Then maybe there shouldn’t have been 5 agents with conflicting commands? They should be working together? So the first one says to get out of here which she was clearly doing, that means the others should follow suit on the first agents command and let her continue to leave.

Based on the available footage and witness reports, there’s no clear indication she was given a meaningful chance to comply before the situation escalated. It appears agents were already reaching for the door handle while yelling conflicting commands, leaving no realistic time for her to comply with any orders before shots were fired.
