Officers are trained to deal with hecklers. I have watched many live protests throughout the US in the past few years. Officers take a lot of abuse and never respond emotionally. I doubt he was upset by a 'bold woman'.

When officer training kicks in, it's shoot to kill.

After the shooting, he would have self-reported and followed orders.
You're saying this but then have said you haven't seen the latest video where he's calling the victim a f-ing b-i-t-c-h. Come on now. Jmo

His life, or the life of anyone else, was never in danger. There was no reason to shoot to kill. If he felt he was in danger he put himself there by where he chose to stand.

I haven't heard that. Is it in the new video released by the officer? It's not in original video released yesterday.
You can watch it in the link I posted earlier.

On the very same day ICE shot a civilian, a group of ICE agents showed up at a Minneapolis high school and a scuffle ensued. The Minneapolis district closed schools for the rest of the week. Now that the week is over, a decision going forward has been made:

The Minneapolis school system will offer families the option of remote learning for a month, officials said Friday, responding to concerns that children might feel unsafe venturing out in a city where tensions are high over federal immigration enforcement.

I beg to differ.

ICE officials ask her to move her vehicle. another gets out of his vehicle, grabbing her car door, demanding she get out, so she decides to comply with the order to move on. She did NOT deserved to be KILLED for this. It was a minor protest that didn't take much to convince her to move on. No other law enforcement agency would have handled this in this extreme way, IMO. Balance of risk was ignored. Balance of law was ignored. Three shots in the face was over the top. Telling others to decline aid was unforgivable (even though we know she was very likely beyond saving at the point.)

Law enforcement officials have a duty to be on balance for the benefit of society. There was none of that in his case. A non-aggressive woman was shot for protesting. JMO.

And I know you thought he was 'hit' by the vehicle, but I haven't seen that despite looking for it. It took him less than a second to be around the side of her slowly moving vehicle to shoot her in the face through the side window. If she was pressing on the gas hard he wouldn't have had time to do that. If he was "hit" by the vehicle it wouldn't have been more than a nudge after he stepped in front to prevent her from leaving. All JMO.
I missed the video where she was told to drive away. If it happened, she did not drive away. Two more officers arrived and told her to get out of her car.

It's not her choice in that moment to decide she wants to do something different. When she was told to get out of her car, that was her only choice.

The CNN video link that's been posted made it easier to see the officer's movements prior to and during the shooting - although it is from a distance and takes a minute to figure out what we're seeing.

After the shooting he left the scene, is that protocol?

She was parked in the middle of the road. One officer approached her driver's side window and told her to get out of the car. She decided to back up, and then drive forward as though she was leaving.

What was she thinking!

Ignoring officers is automatically going to escalate the situation. We all know that by the time we're old enough to drive.
What was she thinking?

That she lived in a free country, she was entitled to her opinion, speech, life and liberty. That as a citizen, she was free to express her opinion about ICE in her neighborhood. That she had children, and she wanted to keep the USA free for them. That it was time to go home. That she would find a way around the officer's car discourtesly left in the road, pick up her wife, and take her dog and collection of stuffed animals in her car home to raise her children. She smiled and told the officer she was not mad at him.

She did NOT ignore the officer, she said she was not mad at him. She was looking at him with a friendly face.

Then there was a pop. And another and another. She probably heard her wife scream. Then she was bleeding. She was not getting any medical help. She wasn't going to pick up her children this afternoon.

FWIW I think most LE in the US use non-lethal methods to disperse crowds/protestors- flash bangs, tear gas, rubber bullets. this went straight to "bullets to the brain." Also, I have been road stopped by some stern and even somewhat nasty LE but they never cursed at me with expletives.
I totally agree.
But it seems that ICE agents aren't trained that way.
They have signing bonuses, very short training periods, and 'catch goals'. The focus isn't on the well-being of the community. IMO.
Meanwhile, local PD have much, much more extensive training and they are more focused on community well-being.

Listen, I have nothing but respect for most law enforcement. Given what I do for a living, I depend on them regularly when I'm with dangerous or violent patients in the emergency room. Most officers are well-trained in how to deal with hecklers and protestors. Most know how to de-escalate a situation. Most only pull their weapon if they truly feel their life is threatened. Most would only shoot in the most extreme circumstances.

From what we know about this particular agent and what we see on video, he is not one of the good guys. I can't speak to why. I don't know what went through his head when he did it. But he either ignored his training or he was never trained. My guess is the former. Then he negligently shot not once, not twice, but 3-4 times (haven't seen a confirmed count) at a woman who was never a threat. Even if he thought she was a threat at first, she certainly was not by the second and third shot. THEN after he shot her point-blank multiple times, he called her a vile name.

Those are not the actions of a good or decent guy. He is worse than regular killers because he gives a bad name to all officers. There are a lot of decent human beings out there serving selflessly to keep our streets safe, and creeps like this guy is what makes people turn on them.

IMO, we should not be defending this agent. We should hope and pray they throw the book at him so that no one sees him as an example of law enforcement or ICE. He's a liability for the decent men and women who serve in police forces around the country.

MOO.

Exactly! Was the shooter actually recording on his phone in one hand just before he went to the front of the vehicle? I don't think that was a good idea, considering the situation, kind of a lack of focus on the matter at hand! Also, I've read that it is a no-no for an officer to go in front of a vehicle they are monitoring!

There have been multiple incidents of ICE shooting people in vehicles, making accusations that are later shown to be false, and charges against the victims being thrown out. (Links posted previously)

Do you think this shows ICE agents as competent professionals?
I'm a foreigner who has heard all my life that the US is the greatest country in the world. Of course I assume that ICE agents are professionals.

Has the US changed so much in the past year that unprofessional officers patrolling the streets shoot people because they're emotionally upset by protesters?

You forgot that also know for sure that ICE guy shot twice through the drivers window after he was clear of danger, which to me is the equivalent of shooting someone in the back after they are fleeing the scene.

We also know for sure that ICE guy could quite easily have been facing murder charge if any of his bullets missed their target and killed one of the innocent bystanders on the sidewalk right behind the vehicle.
The same bystanders that ICE guy clearly knew were there because he had just walked right past them when he was behind the vehicle just 10 seconds before discharging his weapon.
Officers are trained to shoot to kill. Anything less, leaves them vulnerable. Once he was triggered to respond to a threat, he reacted.

I just saw the ring doorbell video from right where the vehicle came to rest.

Ms Good's wife was first to reach the victim (running).
Then the shooter sauntered up slowly , looked in the vehicle and walked away leaving the two women alone at the vehicle.

It did not show his ICE vehicle driving by/leaving as the woman he shot lay dying in the front seat of car.

Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis, where ICE showed up after the murder of a civilian. He spoke with reporters after visiting the school:

NO! They are trained to shoot to STOP. They are not trained to kill.

Come on, dude.

ABC has a frame-by-frame analysis of all the videos, including the killer ICE person's video. Here are a couple of snippets from their analysis.

9:36:58 a.m. -15 seconds before the shooting
A Ford Explorer with California license plates that had been on the side of Portland Avenue can be seen on video pulling out onto the street. A different video shows Good's driver-side front window is open, and she appears to gesture for the Ford Explorer to pass in front of her Honda Pilot, which it does.

9:37:08 a.m. - 5 seconds before the shooting

The two officers in the Nissan Titan are seen on video exiting their vehicle .... While they are approaching, the Honda Pilot is put in reverse ... the Honda Pilot backs up a few feet, with the front wheels of the car pointed to the left as the car backs up .... As the Honda Pilot then begins to move forward, the wheels begin to turn to the right, away from where the ICE agent is standing.
Good can be seen turning her vehicle’s steering wheel to the right, away from the agent, just over one second before the first shot is fired.

Yes. Sadly, our country has changed. There is no decency in what's going on.

Apparently, yes.

And there is a long long history of LE brutality in our country. There's been a lot of reforms in the past 40 years or so, but our LE is far from perfect.
