In the first press conference Kristi Noem gave after the murder, she asserted several times that Ross "followed his training". Was she (a) ignorant of the rules, or (b) lying through her cowboy hat?
She was circling the wagons. Yeehaw. There are women out there who use their voices. Protect the boys!

Anyone can protest from a distance. If she had been a block or even half a block away, not blocking the street with her car this wouldn't have happened.
Victim blaming, I see. It would not have happened if the shooter stuck to the procedures. It would not have happened if this man haven't pulled the trigger without valid reason. This woman was not a threat to him.

MOO.

He was filming because these agents have been subject to assault, harassment and obstruction constantly in the course of doing their job.

When have you ever seen a Law Enforcement officer drive around a car blocking the street and not stop to investigate or offer assistance?

Should Law Enforcement, during the course of their duties have to drive around people blocking the road with their car?

Frankly if they really wanted to go there, all of these people who are PHYSICALLY impeding or assaulting these agents should be charged with interfering or obstruction.

I don't know why everyone is so supportive of people who have factually commited a crime by entering our country illegally. America can't support everyone in the world just because the circumstances are bad in their home countries. It is costing billions or probably trillions of dollars.

In this case it was clear these women didn't need assistance and were agitators. Impeding a law enforcement operation.

Still shouldn't have gotten shot.
"have been subject to assault, harassment and obstruction"

Oh, you mean like the public? That is exactly why the public is filming them. After countless immigrants and citizens alike have been brutally assaulted, ripped from their children, been gassed, had their windows smashed etc. Maybe you DO understand.

Are you seriously suggesting Ross was going to offer assistance? Or any of these officers? Seriously?

And if the publicly-accused ICE worker was jolted, his co-worker who was trying to get into the driver's door might have been killed by the errant shot. That co-worker was just to the right of where the first bullet went through the front windscreen.

imo
👍 If a person can't control a gun, he should not be carrying professionally. He did kill a mother of three. But he could have killed or injured others.

And there was no jolting of the Ross, so this is just hypothetical.

👍

There is no evidence that being an ICE agent is a dangerous job, although IMO I'd think twice about taking the job if I were on a job with Ross.

In a nutshell
Yes. It is very inconsistent. They seem to want the government to have "absolute immunity" to shoot and kill people, yet they claim to love freedom and hate government interference. I get so confused.

She was blocking the road, obstructing a law enforcement operation. That's why they approached and instructed her to exit her vehicle

She was not blocking the road as evidenced by the vehicles that drove past her. The agent who shot her drove by her then got out of his car to go back and engage with her. There was no reason for that.

Multiple witnesses said other agents were telling her to leave.

“Some of them were leaving, and they just went around her, but ICE gave her orders to leave, while at the same time, another ICE person said, ‘Get out of the car,’ and he reached for her door handle. And then there was an ICE agent in front of her vehicle. So it was difficult for her to leave, as she'd been ordered to do,” Callenson said.

...
Heller said she heard ICE agents telling the driver, a woman, to “get out of here.”

It makes zero sense to me either. You're either a free country or you're not.

That makes it even more obvious that Ross didn't consider Good a threat. He casually strolls around her car filming with his phone in his shooting hand.

He switches it to free his shooting hand when Good's wife gives him lip.
And by "lip" you mean mild teasing. Ross is way too sensitive for a gun-toting job.

Some people equate 'freedom' as them, personally having all the freedoms they want, and the sorts of people they dislike being marginalised, persecuted, or harmed. Their concept of equality is them on top with everyone else crushed underfoot, knowing their place. And a government offering that to them is a beautiful, seductive thing.

Snipped

The question i will always have is why put yourself in the middle of a situation like that. Protest from a distance. Observe from a distance.

If this were any other thread .
"The question I have is why put yourself in that situation? Don't go out at night. Drink at home."

Citizens have the right to protest government actions. She wasn't in the middle of anything, she was watching ICE agents drive by.

Well, what exactly was ICE doing on the street?
Early on it was stated the additional Agents were called to the scene of the protesters obstructing and blocking the road.
It really would help to get the whole picture of what leads up to this chain of events resulting in Good trying to escape from the scene.

Interesting indeed. It's almost as though they are promoting conflict.

If we believe what they say was the motive for ICE being in this neighborhood - to go into a school to detain an illegal alien - then why would that simple act require so many ICE agents in military garb and face coverings, in so many vehicles to storm the area. It's ridiculous, isn't it? We've seen this before in history. It does not end well.
ICE agents, right after killing Renee Good went to Roosevelt High School at dismissal time and attacked and tackled staff. I live in a sanctuary city and they have stalked, kidnapped, intimidated children at school, people at their jobs. They are NOT here to deal with immigration issues, they are here to instill fear, terrorize and bully citizens. They are masked, in unmarked cars, no ID. Community members have been called upon to show up at local schools at the beginning and end of school as protection against them and to document. Here is tape of Roosevelt HS incident.
