Found Deceased MO - Abbi Schaeffer, 22, Kansas City, 23 May 2022

The Kansas City Police Department stated Abbi Schaeffer was wearing a tan-colored long-sleeve crop top, black leggings and gray Nike sandals when she was last seen 10 days ago.

The police department stated in a release that officers were concerned for her safety and well-being.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts has been asked to call the Sex Crimes/Missing Persons line at 816-234-5220 or call 911.

Police said Schaeffer was last seen in Kansas City on May 23 at 12:30 p.m.

Her sister made a comment on facebook about the car that is a bit concerning. It leads me to believe Abbi may have a stalker and got in the car to try to appease him or work something out. The comment also says no one has spoken to her since the 24th though.so does that mean they heard from her after she got in this car? I wonder if it was a text or a voice call and what was the content?

There is also info from her mom about where her phone last pinged and the resident moved out the day after she went missing. So if anyone can help LE track down that car it would help - there can't be that many 320i-330i 2006-2009 bmw sedan in KC with tinted windows.

Okay so I haven’t been able to sleep because I started searching for the car and really think I may have found it and who is associated with it. I won’t put names on here but I will say my eyes are terrible so I will post a screenshot of some of the car and let me know what you think. My heart is actually racing right now.

The first one is in a parking spot in April of this year. It is dark like in the flyer. I’m just not good at seeing if that in fact is a bmw emblem. It looks like it is to me. The other picture is under light at a gas station so it looks lighter than it actually is. This is in Kansas City in January of this year. The person who posted the images of this car is associated with the last known location of AS. He is no longer in MO. He does not look like the person driving the car in the flyer. To me that guy has dark hair. But my eyes are not the best. I just want to get a second set of eyes on this before I contact someone to let them know.

The top photo definitely appears to be the same make/model/color of the car she was last seen getting into. The second pic the windows don’t seem as tinted and it looks like a completely different color. (I know you said it looks lighter than it is). I wouldn’t hesitate to contact police, a non emergency line if that makes you feel more comfortable. Always better safe than sorry.

Thank you MFH. Yeah I was struggling with the lighter color. I just find it interesting that he is listed as a person who lived at her last known location. Zillow Rental has the lease ending in early May so I wonder if the family had already moved out? Who knows. I went ahead and called the number on the flyer. Thanks so much for responding.

It’s all a little confusing to me, abbi took her pet cat with her, when she got in the bmw. The car AND her cat, both have been located, the cat making it back HOME to Abbis family. But no information has been released about where the cat was found, or the car, and they can’t get any leads from the car, on who the man is that abbi left with, or where she might’ve last been. Family says she wouldn’t leave her cat, so she took the cat with her, and then ditched the cat??? How do we find a missing cat, before we find a missing woman?
