A couple more articles.

This one interviews a friend and has a link to the daughter's tumbling team's facebook page, if you are interested in seeing that; I will not link to it directly. It mentions her father's name (MA - same last name).
Friends mourn the loss of a Boone County 11-year-old and her mother

This one has a link to the Sheriff's FB post.
Boone County Sheriff investigating deaths of woman, 11-year-old girl

This is the Sheriff's initial FB post. Comments indicate they were clearly well known and loved. An aunt is also posting (MM - repeated name) but doesn't say much. No clues that I could find.

And he is on the run, and apparently knows how to do it.

From the article (his picture and description are also in the article):

[...]
Authorities say they have probable cause to believe that McLean murdered Allison and Jozee.

Authorities say the motive for the murder of these victims is unknown. They have not released details about how they were killed.

Authorities say McLean previously changed his name. He previously had been known as John McLean, Steven Nagy, and Steven McLean.

Investigators have been unable to locate McLean. He was last known to reside on County Road 355 in Fulton. McLean is a truck driver who has ties to Las Vegas, Nevada, Chicago, Illinois, St. Peters, Missouri, Columbia, and Fulton.

There are a lot of article out there saying the same things, but this one interviews the suspect's ex wife and her now husband. JT is not well liked by them.
Ex-wife of Fulton murder suspect speaks out

According to all the articles, the suspect is an over the road truck driver. Why can't I find our member of the truck community to alert her? Chi-something? Yikes, my old lady brain.

Shaking my head at that article. Ex-wife is in hiding, "in fear for her safety," afraid of the alleged killer. Article doesn't even mention her name probably at her request, IMO, but mentions her new husband's name in full. So much for privacy! Hearing about this JTMc guy, I think I'd want to go into hiding as well. Hope they find him soon.

This guy doesn't deserve a trial. I hope they just find him and burn him.

I wonder if the truck he drives is missing? He knows how to travel but I think they will catch him soon.

Women are never safe - I do hope he’s found sooner rather than later - sounds like he will easily kill again

Double homicide suspect likely attempting to disappear, authorities say

There is reason to believe JT McLean, 45, of Fulton, who is accused of killing Allison and Jozee Abitz on Aug. 22, is attempting to disappear and limit tracking of his whereabouts, the Boone County Sheriff's Office said Monday.
Allison Abitz, 43, and her daughter, Jozee Abitz, 11, were found dead in their Lavender Drive home south of Columbia by sheriff's deputies after the department was contacted by relatives who had lost contact with the pair.

Authorities do not know how McLean is traveling, as all of his owned or registered vehicles have been located. McLean is an over-the-road trucker with ties to Columbia, Fulton, St. Peter, Minnesota, Chicago and Las Vegas.

Court documents unsealed in Boone County double murder case - ABC17NEWS

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Investigators believe a Callaway County man on the run from two murder charges strangled his girlfriend and drowned her daughter in a bathtub at their Boone County home, according to court documents.

In documents detailing the two first-degree murder charges against JT McLean, police say a witness, a supermarket receipt and neighborhood surveillance videos connect McLean to the scene where Allison Abitz, 43, and her daughter, Jozee Abitz, 11, were found dead in their home just south of Columbia on Aug. 22.
The documents were unsealed Monday.

A witness told authorities that McLean, Allison Abitz's long-time boyfriend, was at Abitz's house on Lavender Drive south of Columbia the night before Abitz was found dead. Investigators paired a receipt from Hy-Vee at Abitz's house with surveillance from the store and Abitz's neighborhood to establish that McLean was at the house the night before the Abitzes bodies were found, according to a probable cause statement.

Gruesome..
It takes time and energy to purposely drown a grown woman and an eleven year old. These girls must have been terrified. My goodness...

The article says the mom was strangled and the little girl drowned. But terrifying for them either way. What a monster.
