This case still haunts me. Was it a crime of opportunity or premeditated? How is it possible that the kidnapper remains unidentified with the amount of detailed information about her car?
If I'm not mistaken, there was a theory that it may have been mistaken identity. Something about her sharing a name and resemblance to the daughter of someone who was targeted by a criminal element... The story sounds very contrived to me... a podcast showed that the pay phone was only seven blocks from her house... if she was so tired, why did she stay there talking for almost 30 minutes?..
I would say it's also likely that her fiancé killed her and that her vehicle broke down on the way back from the nearby lake where he probably dumped the body... I wonder if they dragged the lake.
We don't know much about her life since she was kidnapped? I've read that Rob got married...but what happened in those years immediately after?..a rumor suggests that Angela was murdered and dumped in a well in the old Clinton Missouri artesian park near the site of a very old water ride but it is unknown if that has been explored....there is also the theory that she was pregnant...
whatever the case
may she rest in peace

Does anyone know the address/location of where the phone booth was? I’d love to see what the actual location looks like on Google Maps. I’m sure some things have changed since 1991, but I am curious.
The original phone booth that she was kidnapped from I believe is actually still there. It was at a grocery store parking lot at that time in 1991.

210 S 2nd Street. Near 2nd Street and Jefferson Streets. The old grocery store has been converted into a multi-unit office space known as the Jefferson Commons.

And no ma'am. The phone booths were in a parking lot of a grocery store. This business was very near the downtown "square."
The Square is literally a square made out of streets, with the courthouse in the center. In high school, we would all "hang out" and "cruise the square."

I now live about 45 minutes to an hour away. Clinton has it's nice area's. Sadly, it also has some not so nice area's.

Oh okay. I've always wanted to go there one day but it's pretty far from where I live.

Kenneth Allan McDuff has been mentioned in conjunction with Angela's disappearence. He was executed in Texas in the late 90's under another conviction. It is believed he killed at least 14 women and who knows how many others. He was in KC in the early 90's working as a garbage collector. He was featured on AMW for the murder of a woman in Texas and was arrested in KC. http://www.geocities.com/verbal_plainfield/i-p/mcduff.html

I remember reading somewhere that LE were waiting on the results of bones that were found in the area but I have never heard anything else about it.

I believe Kenneth McDuff could be suspect.
