Still missing.

Family members said they haven’t seen Bessie Collins, 87, since early Sunday morning. Her loved ones told FOX4 Collins has early-stage dementia and high blood pressure, and she’ll need her medicines soon.

Collins’ loved ones helped the grandmother of eight to bed during the overnight hours on Sunday. When they awoke later in the morning, she was gone. Police searched the house and neighborhood, but she was still missing as of Monday evening, according to a KCPD spokesperson.

This is my neighborhood. It's been raining heavily all day ):

It is a residential area that is mostly working class families and elderly folks. It's had some rough times but is "up and coming" and pretty safe following typical city safety protocol. I love it here.

There is a narrow waterway very close to here. I think it is very shallow and there are walking paths and heavy traffic on both sides. It's almost entirely single family homes. Not much nature to get lost in within easy walking distance. I wonder if she's in a local hospital. I will go on a walk tomorrow morning to help look for her.

Thank you for caring about Ms. Bessie. I hope neighbors know about her disappearance and are checking and re-checking their sheds, garages, and other structures where she may have sought shelter from the rain. I hope she will be found quickly.

Oh that's so sad. It just happens so often, and hurts each time. Poor dears <sad>. RIP Bessie and prayers to her family.
