I dunno seems there would be an easier way to kidnap a baby for that purpose. How would these folks have the skill to remove a baby surgically? I know I wouldnt have a clue and Ive had 5 babies. Im betting there is more to this story then someone wanted a baby.

Yeah, I wonder why they didn't just wait for the baby to be born, then set up the meeting concerning the puppy and then kidnap the baby. Maybe she was going to stop breeding puppies when the baby was born, and these freaks wanted the baby so badly, they just killed her.

I chatted with my breeder online for three months before we picked up our kitties. You get to know each other fairly well. I'll bet she told the killers about her pregnancy (and maybe she was stopping once the baby was born). As bad as it is, kidnappings happen a lot and don't involve murder of the mother. And then to cut the baby out? That's gruesome, not to mention that you'd think you'd need some knowledge how to do this without hurting the baby.

But maybe not, maybe these sickos just wanted a baby. It may be as simple as this freak of woman wanted a baby for Christmas. Nothing people do surprises me anymore.

I have a small farm between Buffalo and Louisburg. I lived there for 10 years. Several of my kids are in Springfield going to school.
Never tried the peanut butter burger, just sounds uuueeee to me, but I might look to find one this year - only time I get to Sedalia is for the state fair - I'll have to look about for it. Not too much better than a good burger.

If your kids are at SMS - big time this weekend. Big basketball tourney starting tomorrow - big deal in the small town !

They didn't say anything else. It was very brief. It sounds like they are going to announce another arrest later tonight.

Remember that other kidnapping (not too long ago), in Cole Camp? The baby was snatched, and no one was harmed, but the woman was charged with something funky...not kidnapping. I never did understand what that was about. Do you remember this? And why did they not charge them with kidnapping? It seems like it was a funky statuate or something...I wish I could remember.
I recall that ordeal - I can't remember the lady's name but she took that baby to Kansas City and to be quite honest I can't recall what they ended up charging her with but you are right it was not kidnapping. I'll have to look it up now cos it will make me crazy - get back to you.

I think the place might be called "The Wheel." It's on the north side of the road (next to a big intersection). I think they call it the "goober burger." It's talked about all the time and how good it is, but somehow, it doesn't sound good to me.

If not, you have to go to Griff's. It's on the same side further on down the road (almost across from the high school). They are the best!!

We used to go to the fair every year. I remember one time we ate corn dogs until I thought we would pop. Once we started having kids, we quit going. I have family who lives in Springfield, and they say the local fair down there is really better than the state fair. We may go down there next August. We had a big job going on in Springfield, so I traveled down with hubby several times, and we went on down to Branson. Last time, we stayed at this place called "Big Cedar Lodge." It was amazing! I can't wait to go back.

There's another place that we always stop at when we are going to the lake, and it's this Dutch bakery. I can't think of the town, but the water tower looks like an eight ball (from a pool table). They have so much stuff!!

Thanks. Well, after reading that, I can see why they need to fix the law. Jeeze, I can't believe these people could just snatch the baby and not be charged with kidnapping. Very odd. I'm glad they recovered the baby, and I'm glad they finally realized there was a problem with the law. But I am surprised something like this has surfaced in Missouri before this case.

I will say, this Sheriff of this little town jumped on this and did everything right, and because of this, the baby is back with her father. I wonder why they haven't charged the guy yet? I wonder if he is going to plea bargain in exchange for a LWOP sentence, or something lighter. I'll say one thing, Missouri will put them both to death. They don't fool around.

that answered my earlier question

"Graves said Montgomery could face life in prison or the death penalty if convicted. "

The Big Cedar Lodge is awesome. The water tower you are thinking of is at Tipton along Route 50 but I can't remember the bakery name either.

I'd say the guy is definitely working on some plea because as you said a Missouri jury won't hesitate to seek or issue 2 DPs - although the Supreme Court is getting more and more liberal about that issue.

Tipton! That's it...We always stop. Sometimes the kids are working in the store and they are sooooo polite.

We won a $1,000 gift certificate for the lodge. We loved it so much, we can't wait to go back. Sadly, the next time we will have to pay for it ourselves.

My guess is someone is shaking in their boots (unlike those on death row in California). Missouri doesn't hesitate to follow through with those sentenced to death. I'll bet he's ratting her out as we post.

I did see somthing on the news tonight about those on death row in Kansas and how it might change the status of those in Kansas on death row. Paul Morrison (the DA) was none to happy.

Sadly is right - pretty expensive place but really it is worth the price, beautiful place, great cabins, great rooms, and very calming. My wife and I don't go to Branson very often - too many people but this time of year I gotta say it is great, all the lights and trails and you should see the decorations put up at the lodge - really neat ! Nice nice place.

We stayed in the "Honeymoon Cabin" even though the honeymoon is long since over!! :) The food was wonderful, as was the service. It's the details that these people have down pat...I'll bet the decorations are just lovely.

I am not a big Branson fan (don't like the crowds), but we did go there a couple of years ago (around Christmas), and the decorations were stunning. So festive...We stayed at the Chateau on the Lake, and although I loved the place, I wished I had brought a gun with me!!! They have these birds (in cages) that are hanging in the atrium and they started squaking early!! They told me they put the "bad" birds down low, but they all seemed noisy to me.

Prayers for Zeb and the baby, and for Bobbie's mother who found her.
May God comfort them and bring them justice.

Hi RaisinCharlie
Are you familiar with Buffalo Missouri?

I cannot believe there are TWO people on this board who know where Buffalo MO is. My mother grew up not far from there - place called Celt - mail comes thru Tunas. My grandparents lived there for their whole lives and my family has owned the land for as long as it has been settled. My uncle still lives on the family farm - my husband and I bought it from him 3 years ago so we own about 300 acres in the middle of nowhere on a dead end dirt road - it is a little piece of heaven (spring fed creek and the Little Niangua River included)!
The world is a very small place sometimes
