"Skeletal remains were located in a tree line adjacent to the Veteran's Administration Center in Branson. Clothing, eye glasses, toiletry items, a glucose meter, and insulin pen were found with the remains."

He is not dressed for January in Missouri. He probably died in the summer and was sadly not discovered until skeletal.
He also appears edentulous - did they ask if the Veterans center misses some regular patient?

Maybe Wade Lauhorn? Missing since 6/2022 from St. Joseph, MO. Couldn’t find date for when the Tri-Lakes 2022 Shootout was held.

Tri-Lakes Shootout | Basketball and Volleyball Camp | Missouri I looked at their Facebook page and it appears they have multiple events throughout the summer. The distance between St. Joseph, MO where he went missing to Peculiar, MO where the Tri-Lakes Shootout is about 1 1/2 hour drive depending. It could be a potential match, if not to get him ruled out at least.
Edit to add: Sorry, I missed Branson was where he was found, that's over 4 hours from St. Joseph.
