My understanding is that the wheels might have been placed in the field after investigators had searched that area. If that is true, the person must have known that searchers were planning to check the field again the following day.

Interesting. Has it been verified the area was already searched?

I don't think LE would lie to both of them...more likely tell one the other failed, No point in telling them they both failed, if they didn't, that would not get them talking against each other, instead they are blaming LE...

Catching up, so I apologize if this already been addressed. I can easily see LE telling both individually that they failed and then the 2 sharing that with one another.

Thanks to all who did the recap of tonight's show. They really said the training wheels they found came from her bike? I know I wouldn't be able to identify the training wheels from my youngest DS' bike. Plus, WTH would someone take off the training wheels of her bike and leave them where they would be found? Why not just leave the bike??

Gonna go finish reading.

May I ask you a question, since you have little ones. Do they brush their teeth on their own? Or do you help them? Do you help them get dressed? How about getting breakfast? Do they do that on their own? How the father worded that seems that she did this all by herself. TY.

Very intriguing questions......we do not know enough about how that morning happened, do we?

I'm sorry but my kids (3 & 5) have never ever slept in past 8am. If anything they have always got up early at around 5.30am. My hinky meter is off the charts

You are SO right! I raised and fostered 8 kids ... no WAY did they sleep until 10! And, tho he sounds so sincerely distraught, I won't buy a 3 year old 'biking' around as described. Could there be a vindictive paramour in this picture?

I have to agree with this. I simply cannot imagine a child that age sleeping so late unless something else was going on.

I have four children, and I have never, ever been a morning person. During the summer months and Saturday's, we easily sleep in until 10 or 11am, but my dh goes to bed early and gets up early for work. Now that school is back in, it's killing us to get up early, but I'll bet we will all be in bed until 10am this Saturday. My 4 year old and I got up this morning, carried my others to school, and went right back to bed.

This doesn't make me an unfit parent to not have conventional bedtimes. My children get plenty of rest. It is just at a different time frame than most. I am a much more patient and loving mommy when we all sleep in. :)

Just sharing my situation to show that not all children are early risers.

The dad said they are the wheels from Breeann's bike.

Did he say they are the wheels or the training wheels? Still catching up on this thread, so just disregard my post if this question has already been asked and answered.

Hmmm or maybe someone called in a tip? IDK

I thought it was strange LE had stopped searching when they found the first TW.

he said they were the training wheels. He also said he recognized a bend in one that he made to make the bike more stable.

The father said we called 911. I would like to hear the 911 tape.

"I didn't leave the house until about 10 [a.m.], to go to that auction," Rodriguez said. "Breeann was still asleep when I left. It had to be after 10 at least. [Ramos] is saying it was closer to 11. She had to get up, brush her teeth, get dressed, and eat cereal before she went outside. It was about 11 o'clock when she went outside and about 11:30 when she went missing. We spend about 30 minutes or 45 minutes looking for her before we called 911.

..3 things that jumped out @ me there---

1).-----i've never known a 3 year old to sleep until 10----or 11 !

2). ----all families are different, but----my kids didn't have such a 'schedule' at age 3---to handle by themselves once up, before they could play.

3).-----if my 3 year old and her little pink bike was missing! i would have called 911 in about 30-45 SECONDS!!!

Edgar Rodriguez, the girl's father, told HLN's Nancy Grace on Thursday that he and his wife apparently failed polygraph tests administered by authorities.

"To be completely honest with you, I don't believe that we failed (the test)," he said. "(But) they said we failed it. I don't know why."

The FBI said that it showed the training wheels to Rodriguez. His belief they were from his daughter's bike was based on the distinct way he had to "manipulate the training wheels and bike to lower it for her height," according to the FBI.

"I 100% know" the wheels came from Breeann's bike, said Rodriguez. "(There isn't) even a hint of a doubt."

..basing these couple of statements on what ( we learned from the kc statement 'experts') ----according to them, it CAN be something if a person throws in "honest" "and 100%" etc-------and as sign of trying too hard to APPEAR that they're telling the truth.

I like how you bolded those words.

Again, children learn what they are taught. My kids would have never been allowed to get up at 5:30. I always instructed them to stay in bed until a decent waking hour, of which 5:30am is not. Eventually, they learn to sleep in. I hate mornings, but the fact that I do and have taught my children to sleep late does NOT mean I would ever harm them or that "something wasn't right" in our home. My children are loved and cherished, but we sleep late. Different strokes for different folks!

No problem

Teeth - they can both do by themselves

Getting dressed - My 5 year old can dress herself, but I still have to dress my 3 year old.

I have 4 DS and my youngest one (5yo) would easily sleep to this time if I would let him. All my other DS are awake between 6-7am, but not my little vacuum.

I didn't say I let them get up at 5.30am. I try and teach them to wait until the sun comes up before they get out of bed. I was just trying to state that in my experience small children generally rise earlier rather than later. I have never known a child to sleep in until 10am and I am not saying I think its wrong if they do (I would love it lol) - just that I dont think its the norm

Training wheels. The dad was able to ID them because he had purposely bent one of them to fit her bike better. So he is certain they were the ones taken from her bike.

If someone they know in some way took Breeann, there is a much better chance she is alive, IMO. Maybe the kidnappers intended to "ransom" her, but can't, with all of the LE and media attention. If this is the case (just a guess, of course) maybe they will leave her off someplace safe...
