Or...

The person who tossed the training wheels isn't the abductor. In other words, whoever has the rest of the bike doesn't have the child. One possibility: The bike was left on the road or on the side of the road or even tossed out of a vehicle onto the shoulder, and someone comes upon it. One training wheel may have already come off, person finding the bike doesn't see that one so figures they'll take the bike but don't need the second training wheel. So they take that one off and toss it (would explain why the wheels were found a bit of a distance apart).

If this happened before the media coverage that she was missing, there could be someone who thought they were just picking up an abandoned bike and doesn't know LE is looking for it.

And the third unidentified piece of evidence would be the one possibly really connected to the abductor, unlike the bike itself.

I had another idea that is probably WAY off base but here it is:

I read (on here i think) that FBI planned to cut back on their search, that day they find the 1st training wheel. LE said they thought it was planted there. What if it was planted by a family member to keep LE/FBI searching for her? They could have been afraid they would stop looking so they put evidence around so they would keep looking... The training wheels that were found might look new because they are. Also from reading the scanner thread the other piece of evidence I THINK they have is odd too. Like that was planted as well. That would lead LE to think they were being taken in circles... Hopefully this make a little sense as I am writing very quickly...

Have any of the parents on here had to physically bend a training wheel, or it's handle, to get the bike to ride properly?

tia

actually i did have to for one of my kids. for some reason the bike would lean to one side no matter how i adjusted the wheels. i finally had to bend one of the arms on the wheel so they both would touch the ground at the same time. of course the bike wasn't an expensive bike, just a cheap-o and that might make a difference in the quality.

Sorry to quote you twice but, if I were to read this quote and not know any background on the case, I would think that somewhere out there is a bike with bent training wheels and maybe a bent handle... which sounds like how a bike may look if it were run over.

Just a thought...

ETA: has he also said the handlebars were bent? I hadn't read that.

Oh sorry for the confusion, I was referring to the handle as being the handle that holds the training wheel if that makes sense!

IDK, but in my experience it often takes a lug wrench to get the training wheels off . Speculating that he spoke to her as she passed his house, possibly the garage door was open, and he took her into the garage. If so, this would be an opportunistic crime. And not a well thought out, planned scenario. Could well be that the perp will be caught...

Now there's a plausible scenario! Thank you!

Called Senath Sheriff's Office and they are saying the picture out most closely resembles the bike. The bike is pink and purple and seems like a typical walmart bike.

Thanks so much for calling!

So the "pink" is that orangey salmon color and the purple is the trim on the wheel rims, handlebar covers and pedals. I am still not seeing it as pink and purple, but am happy to know for certain that the picture being circulated is an accurate depiction of the bike.

Does it say Sea Star?
Does it say Huffy?
Does it have the graphics on it?

Unless nobody can remember what the bike looks like, I don't see any reason not to be more specific.
And if they think someone has altered the appearance of the bike then it doesn't matter what it looked like anyway.

I went to go check out my daughters bike, to see how easy it is to take apart. And its the same bike as the one in the pic, from walmart. And my conclusion, I thought it would just crumple, but I think it would take some time to take the training wheels off. Which got me thinking, maybe they took the whole bike apart, accidently left the training wheels on the truck bed, and thats why its like this. Now why go through all that trouble. The more I think about this little girl, the more cases I think about, its someone close by, either a family friend, a neighboro nearby.
Whats sickens me is. That a child could be in a bedroom and LE might not even see them. KWIM. That could of taken place.

I did ask him if there was a phrase on the middle bar and he said yes but he did not say what exactly it said.

he said "typical walmart bike"

I just can't imagine a stranger abductor stopping everything to take the time to take the training wheels off a bike.

You toss the WHOLE bike into a dumpster, into a field, off a bridge, jump back in your vehicle and keep on truckin'.

The only thing I can think of - and it's a stretch - is that somebody finds the tossed bike in a dumpster or a field or a lake, takes it home to their kid, makes a big deal over how much money they spent on the bike, the kid loves it, and then... they see Breeann's bike on TV, and rather than say Oops! Gotta call LE, honey, they take off the training wheels and toss them rather than disappoint their kid and have to explain that they didn't buy the bike after all, but got it out of a dumpster.

But a stranger abductor stopping to take training wheels off a bike? Newp. Not gonna happen. :snooty:

yes I didn't really think that color was "pink" either but I suppose it could pass for it

To be honest, unless I had a pic from her last birthday, I would not have a clue what was on my daughters bike.

I guess maybe the lighting is making that bike look different? Because I can see violet (the frame) and lilac (the wheels, pedals, and grips) but NOT seeing pink at all here. And that bike only comes in 16" from what I can tell. So maybe that's why the training wheels had to be bent to adjust the bike to her height as the father stated. Which I guess makes sense they'd buy a bike bigger than the "norm" for 3 y/o. If they are impoverished (I read that area is) then they can't afford to buy bikes for her at various stages perhaps, so just buy one to "grow with her".

That has me thinking I have 10 children and anytime they got a new bike there was pictures taken of them with it on the first day they got it...
Hmmmm:waitasec:

What size bike did she have? I have been so confused over that. IF its a 16", then I can not see someone grabbing all of her and it. IF its the 12" then LE has the wrong pic up.

That exact bike looks to have 16" tires.
