Sorry if this has been asked and answered but does he have a white van?

All that has been reported is LE is no longer looking for a white van. I believe he has a truck, however.

Okay I'm googling the prosecutor, and I just found another murder case where he charged with tampering with evidence, so I'm going to assume that's just a fav charge of his, and not something significant about this case.

ETA: He also charged in this other case with armed criminal action.

ETA again: He charged in a parental kidnapping case with child abduction. Just noting that it caused me to realize we don't have a child abduction or kidnapping charge in Breeann's case. That could be significant.

The thing is, there is no need to mention cause of death at all at this point...that is what is so confusing...

When the charges were announced for Alyssa Bustamante, the cod was also announced in the charge. Don't know if that means anything or not.

These are really the scariest of all. Just a neighbor. No long record, not a registered SO, not family, just there. He could be anyone's neighbor.

I'm way behind in the thread so someone probably already said this but... it's like a David Westerlake type. That's what this is starting to remind me of.

Observes a human corpse under circumstances in which a reasonable person would believe that an offense had been committed, knows or reasonably should know that a law enforcement agency is not aware of the existence of or location of the corpse, and fails to report the existence of and location of the corpse to a law enforcement agency.
This could be the tampering with evidence charge is, he won't tell them where the body is.

You sound like a few Long Beach cops that I know and I say that fondly:innocent:

Agree; possibly even videotaped the crime. The DA appears to be confident in the charges.

My thought exactly... police found taped evidence of how precious Breeann was killed (hence being able to determine COD) and perhaps he (the perp - don't want to acknowledge him!) attempted to erase/delete the video = tampering with evidence.

They'd already found Elizabeth Olten's body IIRC.

What is Shawns middle name? TIA He has several middle initials living at the same address and even an address one number off from his real address...I think he has a mom or relative just a few houses down from his. I won't mention names though.

I'm not finding anything outstanding about him other than he's a father FGS!

Can u determine what the criminal action and tampering WAS in that case? Thanks for your input!!!

I also noticed the absence of any type of kidnapping charge. There may be some truth to the possibility she came onto his property, but even then I believed holding someone against their will could be construed as kidnapping.

MOO

Maybe the van and the poly info were just used for misinformation?

So then FCA should have be re-arrested for tampering with evidence!! LOL

Yes, they did. But don't remember if autopsy was back at the time. Even if body is found I wouldn't think they would have to announce cod. Just prosecutors like to have that in their charge. I guess if someone was brave they could research methods of suffocation. I could think of something that may be caught on a video or some recording device, but that is as far as I want to go with any thoughts.
