Having a hard time believing that a 3 year old just decided to leave the street and head into a back yard to a pool. There doesn't even appear to be a driveway to the back yard. I know my kids had a heck of a time trying to pedal in grassy areas when they were younger.

It appears you can't even SEE the pool from the street:waitasec::banghead:

The sick part to me in his sworn statement:
Was the point that he had to add "it seemed like an hour" that is really sick that he felt the need to add that....
Technical terms: Pure EVIL!

I wonder if the bathroom thing is relevant to all of this. Say she was on the pool ladder, etc. Her prints should be on there then, unless he dumped the ladder too.

I agree. Something/someone would have had to have coerced her back there. I don't see a 3-year old just going willy-nilly into that back yard to climb a pool ladder.

Thank you Hollye.

Are there any houses closer to Breeann's with a pool?

Just doesn't make sense she would go all the way to his backyard and stand on the pool ladder.

I have a sneaky feeling this 🤬🤬🤬 is going to claim insanity.

There does not appear to be one, at least on the views that I have.

Unless she's played in his pool before and as a 3 year old will, headed to where she remembered she had fun... I don't remember reading whether or not the families had ever interacted.
No gates needed around these yards with pools?? I thought that was a law in most states

I call BS about the pool. JMO

Jose Baez might be calling him to change the story and say it was actually an accidental pool drowning.

Finally, something other than rumor to fill in some of the blanks, as painful as that information is.

We still don't have a clear picture of what happened, and maybe we never will. Did she take her bike into that backyard? The 3 year-old who lives next door to me rides his all over the grass, not just on pavement, so I suppose she could have.

Maybe he was in such a hurry to dispose of her that he forgot about the bike until later, or didn't even see it in the yard until after he got back.

He's making it up as he goes along, I guess. Makes no sense. He wasn't charged with kidnapping because I don't think LE can prove he kidnapped her versus Breeann wandering off on her own. Hopefully they will get more evidence to prove it.

I wouldn't take this monster's word for anything.

I can see a kid being drawn to a pool. Earlier this summer I caught a 12 yo boy trying to sneak in ours, he thought I wasn't at home! (And ours is in a locked fence.) But I don't know, this just seems fishy.

Perhaps the neighborhood kids played all over, in any or all yards on that street. I know they do around here, or at least in other yards that have kids. They don't just stay on the street or in their own yards.

Just pointing out that the affidavit was written and signed by the officer interviewing him, not by the suspect himself. So what is in it is part of a much longer interview. The officer may have asked him how quickly she died and he coud have answered that it seemed like an hour.

Not with above-ground pools, at least not in states where I've lived. Only in-ground pools required fences. It might be that way in MO.

It varies by locality as well. I live in a county where in one borough it is required, but not in another more rural borough in the same county.

He didn't yell 'hey kid get outta my yard'? He took her inside and killed her, then tried to cover his moves. It's either a crime of rage or sexually motivated. MOO

or take the kid back to her parents.....he must've known who she was.

It makes it no better, no 'prettier', to me if the officer asked him. It just makes me absolutely nauseous. That poor, poor baby.

So he 'confessed' to a member of the Drug Task Force and not a regular police officer? Is that unusual?

I didn't clarify that this affidavit is from the officer, not the suspect, to make it look better or 'prettier'. Just for clarification and to show that the suspect himself said much, much more than what's in that short affidavit.
